: Swapped out my brake pads yesterday...

Ordered the Centric Posi-Quiet's from Zeckhausen a while back. Finally got around to installing them yesterday. Very easy install. Immediately with no bedding at all there was no more noise. Got around to bedding the pads late last night and have no brake noise what so ever. Very happy with that. Dust seems to be less? not sure on that though will take today to determine. I did notice the front passenger side original pads were worn really strange, the edges were almost completely worn but the centers of the pads were fine. As far as I could tell the pistons were hitting the pads correctly and all 4 seem to be working correctly. Not going to give that much thought as my brake noise is finally gone <knock on wood>!!!!!

Does not matter when it was built, there still using the same rotors and pads.

Its only a matter of time.

Yeah, my squeal didn't start until 8500 miles. Thought I was home free.

brake dust is very very minimal. Usually I would clean my wheels every day, 50 mile commute would dust the wheels with the stock pads. I have driven to work 3 days now ~150 miles my wheels show very very little brake dust. This may be the best mod going. NO noise and far less dust!!!

Same here. Slightly different pedal effort required however, but does pass the wife test, as it's her vehicle.

I will be putting them on (already have them) my 300 SRT8 as soon as I get the slotted rotors.

Squeak started around 10,000 miles. Got it put on record before I hit 12,000, so once the TSB comes out (hopefully by the end of May) I will get at the very least new pads, and (fingers crossed) all new rotors to address the scoring.

Mine squeeks REAL bad. I've brought it to the dealer a couple of times....no help. Not sure I can wait for a TSB. Wondering if I should just break down and buy the pads now.....

Brake dust update..........actually lack of brake dust update. Has been just about a week now with the new pads. My wheels are still shinny and clean to the touch. It is amazing. I wish I changed the pads last year. Even if your brakes don't make any noise I would change the pads just for the complete lack of dust. An entire week with shinny clean wheels that was unheard of with the stock pads. :D :D :D :D

What about braking performance, any decrease? i thought that the squeal is because the brake pad "bites" the disc, a friend has a Evo V built for racing and i bought some Hawk pads for track use and god they squeal! but they do brake awesome

I would say braking performance is the same. There is slightly a different pedal feel but it still stops just as good as before.

Are those prices for both fronts and both rears?

If so, WOW!! I thought they would be much more than that!

If these pads fix the problem then I wonder why Mopar doesn't invest and fix our trucks for free.

The TSB for the squeaking brakes is in the works, and will be out soon. We will get new rear brake pads to fix the issue.

It better be more than just rear pads. I can get all 4 going under the right conditions.

Even if they didn't make noise I would swap them out for the dust reasons alone.
