Today when I went to get the alarm's sensitivity adjusted...I walk to the back where they are working on it and after the guys done showing me the ins and outs of the alarm, This young kid asks the installer- "Is that the owner?"
So the guy said- "yeah." The kid walks over to me and starts asking me how much it was and where did I buy the truck. He is driving an 07 F-150 with rims and all decked out, then he says- I'm trading this thing in...your truck just blew me away. Then the installer started it w the remote start and the kids jaw hit the floor like the Tower of Terror in Universal Studios.
The guy litteraly drove across the street to the Ford dealer in his new truck...I guess he was serious about trading that thing in and ordering an SRT8.

Man I'm loving this thing just like I did the Lightning.

P.S- My neighbors all look at me wierd cause I'm out at 7am wiping down the beast making sure it looks perfect before I go to work.... only problem is that it was raining still a little when I was doing it *lol* and a huge rainstorm had just passed.
Ok so I have a problem so what!!!

Naa, you don't have a problem. Many would consider it abnormal if you did not clean you beast during odd hours or inclement weather. I sometimes wonder what my neighbors are thinking when I am out in my driveway at 11pm or midnight, in total darkness save for a porchlight, giving the beast a bath. My wife thinks I'm crazy, asks me how I can "see" - who needs to "see" I tell her, I know every inch of that car and could wash it blindfolded. I then pull it into the garage and wipe it down, ready to go for a roadtrip the next day.

Yeah, I know.... I do the midnight wipedown all the time...lol. Man, am I glad I'm not alone. Black is so tough to maintain, and it's the only way, especially when I don't have a garage. Ok so at least I know I'm not alone...thumbs up to you too u sick bastard...lol.

Not strange at all, I"m constantly detailing my SRT8 because I love it (and it's black). BTW the Tower of Terror is at Disney's MGM studios, not Universal. :)

Odd hours (6am, 11pm, etc.) is when I do the wipe down. It's hard to find time during normal hours. I work 60 hours per week and have 2 kids (they come first). It's those who don't keep their rides clean that aren't normal.

believe it or not, I washed mine during a snowstorm in april, it was light and only lasted 20min, so I dealt with it and gave her another rinse when the snow passed. . . my neighbors (and my wife) thought I was crazy way before that though!

I feel ya there.....I worked 5 16-hour shifts in a row last week (total of 96 hours)....but somehow "BABY" always seems to be happy.:D Wipe down or wash "her" every day sometimes just knocking the dust off twice a day. This is my 6th black vehicle so I'm kinda used to it.:)

Good catch... I forgot. It is at MGM. I stand corrected.

Oh and by the way... my new thing now is getting to work extra early in the morning and doing the wipedown while the parking lot is empty...lol.
