: Autopage Rs 1000 Installed!!

Hey homies,
I got the Autopage RS 1000 alarm installed and all I can say is wow! Its freaking awsome!!!! The remote is bad ass... it has color animations of a ferrari looking car on the screen, when the alarm goes off you get notified via the remote for up to 1 MILE, not only that but it tells you what triggered it, door open, shock sensor, hood, etc.
I'll post some pics tonight of the remote.
Another cool feature is that it has remote start of course, trunk release, parking meter timer you can set, daily alarm, you can put your name on the remote screen, inside vehicle temp, status check to check if the alarm is armed or not, silent alarm to not make noise but alert you anyway and a bunch of other goodies I haven't figured out yet.

The alarm was installed by Senor Stereo on US1 and 168st in Miami. Cool guys and quality installation/service. Called them today cause the alrm wasn't sensitive enough for my taste and they told me to stop by without hesitation. Now it's set just the way I like it...even has a warning chirp if it gets touched lightly to let people know to back the fu*k up.
Pics coming soon and a def recomendation A+.

Here a few pics of the remote which don't do it justice cause it's animated but here goes anyway....

I have the Clifford SST which is the mile range. Clifford is made by DEI who makes viper and python too. Probably the most well know company out there. Ask for the SST version of the viper and you can have the mile range.

OK guys...sorry but I do have to get away from here sometime to actually eat, drink water, and poop...lol.
Anyways, yes, i have my remote start, hatch window release, and window rolldown is optional cause you have to purchase a seperate module or something for that. the alarm has 6 channels (whatever that means) and it was 595.00 installed including the module that works with the factory alarm and allows me to keep remote start and the rest of the stuff.
Coolest alarm Ive seen so far and evryone I show it to is impressed.
Hope this helps,
EX.

I actually was going to get the new clifford matrix 70.5X or whatever its called (the latest and greatest) but the installer recommended this one just because the cliffords were held back due to some kind of glitch or something. Same features and both have a 65k color screen remote so I took his advise...so far so great!

LOL...just didn't want you guys thinking I was ignoring you or something. I'll try to keep my bodily functions to myself from now on... no promises though :D

Last thought:
I think this alarm will pay for itself 10x's over if it can prevent my rims from getting stolen, or a dent by a car in parking lot, and just having the peace of mind that when I'm inside my apt or at work I'll be notifed if someone tries to get funny and come to the rude awakening of catching a huge rainbow of whip ass!
So bottom line is 595.00 is a good deal considering any other "regular alarm" goes from 200-300 bucks installed and dont page you or give you a bad ass remote.
Just my 2 cents.

Grasshopper your observation skills are lacking... I posted the price in one of my earlier replys :D
You have much to learn young one.... lol, j/k.
It was 595.00 installed, took the guy like 5 hours though, hard install especially because of the factory system so make sure you take it to a good shop that works on high end cars.
EX.

P.S- YES 1 color remote and one "regular" remote w no screen.

The clifford was high 600's installed with a 2 year replacement on the remote (which was $60). The remotes are around $150 to replace so I did the insurance thingy on them. I went with DEI because they are more well known for security systems.

don't remember exactly what it was... but I can ask him when I go install my sub next week and get back to ya.
By the way...AUTOPAGE has been around for a long time, as I mentioned on an earlier post somewhere, I had one of there alarms with a pager way back in 87/88 and it always worked great on my old school Monte SS. So these guys have been around the block as well. Both great alarms and very high tech right now.

Why june or july?? I have the 1 mile range and got it in November. It is actually the 50.5x but it is still a mile and has remote, doors, alarm, windows, and back window. Everything you could want.

http://www.clifford.com/Products/Product.aspx?ProductID=701

The 70.5x looks pretty cool too. The only differences I noticed were the 30 animations and the color screen. It says the owners manual has been up since feb 2007... so I would assume it is out now.

Why? Because he said it was delayed... I was talking about the 70.5x all along
Your assuming what I already asked about and that's why I went with the AUTOPAGE.
Whatever dude... I started the thread to recommend the AUTOPAGE and if you like the clifford then great.

And by the way the one you have doesn't have everything I could want... the 70.5x does.

Calm down man! I knew you were talking about the 70.5x... originally I thought I had that model then I checked and saw that it was different. So I was mistaken at first. The only thing I am missing from what you APPARENTLY want is the 30 animations and a color screen.

Either way I am happy you like yours but I was trying to figure out why you said July when it is out. Just making a convo out of this. I never bashed autopage once. I have clifford so I was interested in the newer model you were talking about...

I have had no problems with range as long as there wasn't more then 1 building in my way. I work in a mall and I can start it just fine from every place I have tried. But at school when I am walking and I have 4 buildings in my way then it won't do anything.

Would this be a necessity with the 08's? I am under the impression that the 08's key has a laser thing on the end that serves as a good anti theft deterrant.
