: My SRT8 Had A Blackout...
QuickSRT8 05-06-2007, 04:51 PM I finally finished up the blackout project. I painted the side door moldings and taped the window trim, thanks to one of the members on here that did his. I also painted the chrome trim on the front and rear bumpers. I used Xpel rock protection on the piece on the front bumper so it wont chip.

theoneyoucantreplace 05-06-2007, 06:29 PM That was time and money well spent. It looks excellent on silver. No question about that!!

EX-SVTMAN 05-06-2007, 08:21 PM Good job...looks clean. If u had a black one then it would have made it faster due to the black on black metamorphasis which reduces wind resistance and increases the thrust due to the suns rays acting as a vortex which generates hyper-velocity. kinda hard to explain but it comes in the manual when you buy a black one :)
OurZoo 05-06-2007, 10:21 PM I think it looks good man, but I'm a guy who likes chrome.
Untouchable 05-06-2007, 10:52 PM looks clean. nice work
two questions
1. did you put the Xpel on yourself? If so, how hard was it to do.
2. What did you use to fill the drill holes on your bumper?
El Jefe 05-07-2007, 12:07 AM IMHO shouldve of been silver. Front looks good

I Had a company install the kit on the Jeep, but I installed it on the front black trim.
I got the plugs from Pep Boys, I think they are used for door trim. I had to have them painted.
panajeep 05-07-2007, 03:19 PM I like the front look nice ......chrome is chrome
turbotyphoon69 05-07-2007, 05:41 PM good work, I think the black is a little too "laredo" for my taste on a silver car. Though I will say I did not like the silver srt at all until i saw GE2's
theoneyoucantreplace 05-07-2007, 06:31 PM Agreed! Black still is the fastest color!
