2005 Viper = 500HP at the engine. This is 475 at the wheels. Figure a 15% drivetrain loss equals approx 550BHP now with exhaust and tune.
Base Number of Cylinders: 10 Base Engine Size: 8.3 liters Base Engine Type: V10
Horsepower: 500 hp Max Horsepower: 5600 rpm
Torque: 525 ft-lbs. Max Torque: 4200 rpm
Stay tuned for the Paxton Supercharger we will be installing.

so they only put out 50-70 more hp then the 6.1 stock for stock
the LX's put down like 365 stock correct? so a 15% loss of 500 would be 425...

it must be. That wrangler has a TT viper motor in.

According to the service manager at my dealer the Wrangler has a lot more room under the hood. He said he loves them because you can stick any motor in there. They've done two 6.1 Wranglers themselves.

Im sure we "could" fit the V10 in the Jeep, but the HP would not easliy offset the cost to do so.
I think a cool $30K should get it done.
