GE2,
Thats about as good as it gets.
I agree, SRT Engineering should see that.
Absolutely beautiful, whats that wet stuff out your window??

05-04-2007, 03:23 PM
LOL...... that wet stuff just got me stuck in a hail storm. My folks are out of town, and I was just heading to their house to take in their mail, and JUST as I was pulling into their garage, HAIL HAIL HAIL.

I will try to get a shot this weekend that shows the dash with the pillars and as much other stuff as I can.

Yes, the upholstery shop did the logos on the door trim pieces.

I wish I knew a shop in Chicago that could do quality work like that. I was going to have Zen do some work, but I've set things up with him for thousands in work 3 times, only to get no called back 3 times. Ge2 I love your ride, but envy your connections the most.

maybe a stupid question, but doing something like this causes no issues with the airbags in the seats or the curtain bags from the ceiling, right?

My favorite part is the piano black stuff. You have any idea how they did that? I think i have a pretty good interior place, if i could tell them the process, they could do it.

Thats Sweet, Great Improvement, I Bet That Was Some$$$$$$$$$$$:)

ge2
05-07-2007, 08:34 AM
All of my piano black stuff was done via hydrographics (http://www.patterntek.com) but I'm sure with just sanding, priming, painting, and clearing, you could get the same results.

When and if I get mine...i'll be doing some of the same. Especially adding leather to the top of the door panels (suede like the inserts), around the door handles and switches, and MAYBE the entire top of the dash.

Not sure about the headliner...but maybe.

Looks rockin!

I don't know how much it costs, but I do know Car Nutz in Bellevue, Wa did it for greg, and I believe he send the dash to Florida to get painted? Maybe Ge2 could chime in to verify that.

Here is Car Nutz's info:
http://www.carnutz.cc/

Talk to Joel. He'll know what it cost to run this set up.

As far a durability - **** is bullet proof. And of course, it feels sweet rolling in a nice truck both inside and outside.

I believe the removed the entire A pillar because they painted the handle black as well as coated the vinyl with carbon.

I asked to see if they could do the top of the dash carbon to tie in the rest but yeah...$$$$$$

I'm suspose to suede my interior this weekend and the A-pillar is keeping me from doing it because I would half to fill that hole where the handle is or do what you did which I didn't think was possible. How does that paint look like up close? Any orange peel? Did they wet sand it? Was it spray paint or a paint gun? I want to paint the top peace black you did. Did you paint all your handles....

Paint looks perfect on the dash and handles. The mirrors on the sun visors and the console in the headliner does have a feel bubbles...nothing terrible. All handles front and rear are painted.

I have no idea about wet sanding, etc etc.

Call Car Nutz Customz for details.
