I have been to three autozone's and none of them can find a motorad/valuecraft p/n 4128. Thay always want to know what car its for and the year of the vehicle. Anyone know another way to look for the t-stat?

Then you aren't dealing with some very smart individuals. I asked for the 4128 and the employee went straight to it without even looking in the computer.

Tell them to quit asking you what car it is for and just go pull it off the shelf.

My AutoZone was able to find it by searching Valuecraft 4127 (this is the 170* one)

Unfortunately can't find original receipt, but still have box. Try this.

Cross ref. using Valuecraft only for name with a part #04128. It is a yellow and black box. The UPC sticker on bottom of mine (170*) is number 7 99034 04127 6. I would think it would end in a UPC of 04128 6. It is distributed by Best Parts Inc. out of Memphis Tn.

Maybe if they can find that UPC the 4128 will be next to it on the shelf. No way in the world should it be this difficult for them to find.

Good luck.........

Actually, the check digit on the end will most likely be different. :)

Same circumstance I experienced. I went to the back of the store and found it myself...

Same here. You gave them a part number, they don't need to cross-reference it.

T-stat part # 4128 for the 180, if they go to the cross reference page tell them 383-180.

No problems with my guys here locally. Your results may obviously vary! Great guys, all car crazy enthusiasts, and more than happy to get me a K&N drop in and 180 thermostat no sweat. Just gave them the 4128 part number and I was good to go...

First group of digits will be the same (manufacturers code) the last digits are for the model/SKU with a check digit.

And the check digit will most likely be different for the two products. What is your point?
