I went to the track last night and ran a 12.64@106mph. There were 2 TBSS's there as well. Boy they are slow! They were stock I belive and they were going mid 14's!

Tranny software revision was done on Wednesday and I loaded the tune on Thursday.

I put the stock tune back in to go to the dealer and when I picked her up the tranny shifted MUCH Better!!

Then I installed Johan's base tune that he sent and. . . . .Holy Crap!!! :D
This Jeep has never felt so alive!!

I'll go run some 0-60's tomorrow or Sunday to see what I can do.
I'm also curious to know if the shift hesitations are gone.

I can't wait for the next track day. . . . .come on 12.5! :bigthumb:

I would love a Sunday , Problem is no more Sundays till the end of the season :( Is Either Sat or WED & Fridays witch are ricers day and too many cars and not enough cool down time , So simply a waist of day .

This past Wednesday there was only 40-50 cars at 7:00. I actually counted them because they only had two lanes open and about 20 in each lane with a few still getting teched in. I let my Jeep cool for awhile untill 9:30 and I ran back to back runs no waiting! Just drove right back up to the lights. I was the only one on the track period from 9:40 or so till close at 10:00. Not saying every Wednesday is that uncrowded but they are better than Fridays! Fridays they run bikes,Jr. dragsters, snowmobiles and I think a king of the hill class which they don't on Wednesday's.

If they don't show up come down to Etown this weekend for the MOPAR Nationals, this is a huge event, this is the track to be this whole weekend.

But I hope it goes better than the meet we had here in Jersey with the TBSS guys. We all had a total of 1 run for the day do to a huge accident at the track that a rescue helicopter had to land on the track itself to take the driver to the hospital. That took a while, but at least I got to run one TBSS and I won.

BTW, we all had a great time and we all got a long and nothing but respect and talk about each other's rides.

Knuckles .. Neither one of us could get it done. I ran a 12.56 and Pauly ran a 12.55. I only got to make 3 passes since the track was loaded with trailers of dragsters and whatnot.

Great to meet Paul and some of the northeast SRT8 clan today!! :D

All I've gotta say is that the track prep at NED was less than spectacular. I was fighting some SERIOUS traction issues out there today... I couldn't cut anything better than a 2.0 60-ft time. On my first pass, I spun all the way through 2nd and into 3rd gear before finally hooking up. Even when I tried to ease up on the throttle on the following runs, I still spun through 1st on each of them. Best time was a 12.1. :mad:

I have a feeling I'll be stacking my poor Nitto 420s in storage REAL soon. I even dropped my tire pressure to 27 PSI on all fours and still couldn't hook up worth a damn. The one good thing from today is that once I did finally hook up, the Vortech was sure running strong!

Oh BTW - not a single TBSS showed up today. I'm dying to hear their excuses.... :boohoo:

LOL! They're gonna need more than a nifty set of bolt-ons to take the beast. I got called out by one a few weeks ago. Just a friendly race challenge. He ended up running my buddy's Jeep before I got to meet him. I showed him my slip and he showed me his. Never did ask to run me afterwards. ;) He had all the usual bolt-ons, CAI, exhaust, tune, etc.. There was another one out there a few weeks before that with about the same mods, also running mid 15's. He didn't want to race me either.
