Fast?....... our SRT Jeeps are fast...this thing is going to be ridiculous!!!
If the 500hp Z06 does 60 in the high 3's and quarter in high 11's....what the f**k is this going to do.... nano seconds? I hope they have a plan on how to get all that power to the ground if not i don't think it will be worth it.....why spend 100k for 600 hp when you can spend 75k plus 500 bucks and get a 625HP Z06.
Too many variables.... I'll wait to see the final outcome on this.

Hmm....last I heard they did not want to use the SS badge, but rather name it the Z07. Either way, it'll see crazy dealership mark-up like every other limited vehicle.

I think for that price I would get an Aston Martin....may not be as fast but it will turn a lot more heads especially w the ladies than that Vette will.... no doubt.

I've heard 150,000$ is the likely going price after mark up.

That's just stupid of them...when for 55k you can buy a "regular" vette and make it as fast for about 7 grand...depending which route you go...supercharger...turbo...nos...whatever.
You'll still have money to buy a new 500hp Jeep SRT8....oh and still have about 40 grand left...
Friends don't let friends buy 150k Corvettes.... any questions?

Thats with dealer markup. The msrp will probably be 100k. Still pretty nuts for a vette.

**** for that you can buy the new viper that makes the same power, looks way better, and turns more heads. Nothing turns heads like that viper.

My wife loves to laugh at all of the 50 and 60 something guys with small ****s that can't get it up anymore. That is her theory on vettes.... And if it is a convertable...she says it is only worse.

Me...I just want to race one from a light. Win (sometimes), lose (more often that not probably).

There was an aticle on a C6 Z06 that they installed an aftermarket supercharger and ran it back to back on the qtr mile with a regular stock Z06...The stock car had better times each run, the blown car could not efficiently put the power down to the pavement. One of the engineers from GM, Lutz, confirmed that this was a problem that they are trying to resolve on the Blue devil/SS/Z07?, weather it will be N/A or supercharged is still a guess. My money would be on a 454, hence sticking to their heritage of N/A horsepower. Considering many of the exotic cars with this type of power cost way over 100K(except Viper), the blue devil is deal for turn key performance straight from the factory campared to Ferarris, Lambo, Prosche, etc...although IMHO, the air is pretty thin for spending over 100K for any car. Here is a link from Car and Drive on the new vette:

It may be a little slower, but I'd rather buy a used Porsche 993 TT.

I bet even with the xtra hp, it won't do much improvement on 0-60 unless they do AWD or slicks. No doubt 1/4 and trap speed will increase. I just can't imagine dumping $100k + for a vette. I just hope Dodge steps up and deliver much more potent Viper - seems like 600hp alone won't cut it with all the xtra weight...
