Ok. Here's the deal. A guy at work just picked up a Ram SRT10 NightRunner. I think its an '06. Its got a CAI, headers and exhaust. He's not sure if the previous owner had a tune in it but the dealer claims NO. Everyone at work want us to run. BAD. We both can care less but I am curious. Would I take him? A part of me is itching and wanting to run him.

I had a SRT10 but it was a Quad cab. The regular cabs are naturally faster of course but still not going to take the Jeep. From a dig you'll pull hard on him. From a roll it will be closer but he still has very little chance.

Thats what I thought. I just needed the extra push. Lol. I'll catch him on the road one day if we leave at the same time.

from a roll i pulled on a reg cab srt 10 untill 170ish, the quad cabs are de-tuned. A guy i work with had a quad cab and traded it in on a srt8 jeep because he was dissapointed with the truck.

There was 1 at our track running in the 1/8 mile with drag radials, but not sure if he had a cai and tune and he ran 8.40 in the 1/8.

Mine ran pretty good. I had a tune, exhaust, and CAI. The biggest issue with the QC, except for weight, was the transmission. The automatic is dodo. I went through them like Tiger goes through ho's.

You can take him np from a standing start. From a 60mph roll it would be more interesting but you would still probably beat him to 100mph.

i had a 04 RC SRT10 i traded it in for my GC SRT8!!! from a DIG our jeeps will kick that ass..from a roll i think the SC with take you...but the 1/4 mile tracks dont do roll races...so only do it from a DIG..i ran a 4 door SRT10 in my jeep..and he stayed at my back bumber the way..so i now a 6speed cant launch like our AWD can...LOL DO IT DO IT DO IT

I have race a single cab rolling beat him. And a double cab supercharged and beat him don't fear the v10 is just a number nothing fast.

There was one at the track last week with a blower running 14.5's vs my N/A 14.4's. You should be able to kill him at any speed.

Well, I wouldnt go quite that far :D

Although in order for an RC to get any farther than high 12's they have to run slicks or DR's at the track.

My RC ran 12.3-12.4's on motor and 11.4-11.5's on spray...but it wasnt stock ;).

With his mods with a decent DA and a good driver pull a 13.1 ish.

If he has the stock shifter, there is a 80% chance he will miss third and it wouldnt matter anyway.

go for it ull kill him....i raced one two years ago the guy is a friend of mine now.i was bone stock with kooks headers an cats,me plus three people in the jeep which total weight of us was around 650 pounds my friend srt10 headers,straight pipe,cai,dyno tune,drag radials with him an a passenger. i let him heat up the tires an all smoked him from a dig let off around 135 an he was about 3 cars behind me. went from a roll at 30 i was in 1st gear got the jump an let off at 145 150 an had him by 2 cars mayb 1 1/2..so your good to go.show him what a jeep can do.

I believe though that the SRT10 in the truck is tuned towards torque? I have heard a lot of things good and bad about them, but the Jeep should take him off the line regardless of if it catches up later... (and it's a truck, it's huge, and it's not exactly aerodynamic, possibly worse than the Jeep in this area, that would give an advantage). I DO think though that there have been some youtube videos of these kind of match-ups. I will do some hunting and post what I find. :)
