Well......that ML DID NOT rip the SRT a "new one" :rolleyes:
Watch the vid again stage, if you could count to 14, then you wouldn't have made such a stupid comment. The Jeep is still ahead at 13.5 secs, and by then....the quarter mile is over.

I was expecting the night time video that we have seen 1000 times, but I knew Barho wouldn't do that to us again.

The one we have all seen a million times was my vid. I'm about to go race a new '07 ml63 in about 1 hour along with a '05 4.8is, '07 porche turbo, and maybe even a '07 g55 if im lucky. my friends have good taste in cars ;) this should be fun tho.

I am not denying that at all. We all know the ML will eventually walk us, BUT....we bought these Jeeps for the pure from a stop power. Nothing (as far as SUVs go) can touch it from stop light to stop light (not many sports cars either), or in the quarter mile,where LEGAL races are run. Besides, I hardly ever find enough road in the Phila. metro area to safely get above 100 mph, so....as far as I am concerned......the ML won't touch me ;)

I am with barho on this one. There is ALWAYS something faster out there, $$ for $$, the SRT is a monster. For daily street driving and having fun around town, nothing beats the Jeep which is why we all bought them. I love seeing the astounded looks on peoples faces when I destroy them off the line. :D

All I have to say is, for what the ML 63 costs, it BETTER beat us from 100mph and higher.

I had a G55 try me last night ... from 120KMH I smoked him to 150KM with no probs ... by 180KMs he was no where to be seen. About 5 min later (when I'm legal again) he does a fly-by and exits immediately thereafter. Sheesh, some peoples kids!

Apparently they were racing farther than 1320 feet and the SRT took a spanking, so I guess if you are rolling down the highway at 70 mph and someone stepped up to play you are gonna ask them to stop so you can run from a standing start?

I wasn't very familar with the 63 till this thread started.
So i did a little Googling and found this short vid on CNet

Got me thinking, the 63 has a 6.3 the GG has a 6.1 displacements about the same, wieght could be I don't know or really care, the looks of the 63 about the same as any brand crossover SUV IMHO.

What really gets my mind working............
Basically Diamler owns both Mercedes and Chrysler so I guess as far as corporate decisions are made Diamler calls the shots.
Then throw in the really no tunability of the SRTJeeps or the whole Chrysler line for that matter,
then show vids of the 63 basically eating the Jeep alive ( I know 1/4 mile, 0-60 times, Jeeps better blah blah blah.
Still in life Top Speed is the king, and the Jeep has a higher as the 63 is speed limited, so the 63 goes from 100MPH to 155 MPH faster but can't go as fast as the Jeep.

I myself think the Diamler doesn't want tunability in anything but the Mercedes brand.
Why would they want their poorer cousins to be as good or better than their flagship line?
I still like the Jeep, because it is a Jeep.

Well stage, with another 83 HP, not to mention the fact it's a SEVEN SPEED, I would HOPE that the ML could catch us by the end of the quarter.

And just so you know, at a light anywhere I will destroy an ML from stop light to stop light. The gearing in the Jeep is 3.73 while the ML is 3.45. That means, although they both have similar 0-60 times, by the time we've both reach 60, I am already two cars lengths ahead :rolleyes:

Sorry HEMEEE, but I have been on this board for a long time now, and it seems all Stage does is find ways to pick fights left and right. I think if you go back and check his posts throughout the forum, it's pretty obvious who is not acting like a "grown-up".

But once again, I appologize. I guess in the furture I'll just have to ignore Stage :)
