: Jeep Withdraw

Just got back from a couple of weeks in Key West. Since it is a 24hr drive from our house we flew down and rented a car.

We had a 2010 Impala with a 4cyl. I kept thinking how I missed driving the Jeep, especially with all of the "slow" drivers down there. If you have ever been to the Keys you know what I am talking about.

The funniest part of missing the Jeep, is that the whole family was having withdrawals. My 2 yr old son said "I don't like this car, it is too slow, where is our Jeep" It made my day:D. I know I am raising him right. I don't care that the Impala got 30+mpg, it was miserable driving it. For all of those with other 4cyl DD's like this Impala, I pity you.:boohoo:

Also, I did not see 1 SRT8 Jeep the entire time we were gone. It is good to be home and driving the Jeep again.

Anyone else, have the same feelings when you are on vacation in "paradise"?

Kind of the same story with a different car though, I went to the grand canyon from Vegas with my wife's PT cruiser 'cause she didn't wanna drive my RT 'cause it's too big and scary for her, and it sucked balls, no power to pass anyone, always had to floor it and they have some serious uphills where my V-8 would have been perfect for, and fuel economy sucked anyway, I got 23mpg hwy with the PT cruiser, same as my V-8 RT, WTF!
From then on, forget it, drive a V-8 car or nothing, wife can grow a pair and drive that thing if she wants to go out of state.
The only thing that worries me a little with a GCSRT8 is getting 17mpg of the hwy at 75-80mpg.

And I drove that slow ass, torque steer plagued Impala once and it sucked, it was like driving a Chevy Lumina, same cheap feel.

They don't make Impala's with a 4 cyl. It was probably a Malibu.

It was a 2010 Impala. If it was a 6cyl, it was one of the weakest 6cyls I have ever driven.

I looked it up, you were right it was a 6cyl with 211HP
Powertrain LS 1LS
Standard Engine Gas/Ethanol V6
Displacement (liters/ cu in.) 3.5L/214
Transmission 4 Automatic w/OD
Horsepower @ RPM 211 @ 5800
Torque @ RPM 216 @ 4000

Funny, that's why I read this thread to see what was up.

I know, I know. I have been debating it for a couple of months. I also put the WS6 up for sale today.

Which ever sells first (I really hope it is the WS6), I will drive the other for the next 6 months. I do not "have" to sell, but after running some numbers I made the decision to see if it would sell.

You know what they say about short term pain long term gain. :D I will have a Wk2 SRT8 by 2013 either way.

ON EDIT: If the Jeep did not hold its value so damn well, I would not even consider selling it, but after some research. I think $37k is a good deal for someone.

That's how it felt when I drove it.

Wow! a V-6 that make 211HP, what is this, 1990?
