Not sure if it is mostly my advanced age or the dark tint added on the front windows or both but I really have a difficlult time reading the speedomoter and tach due to the black face and very small incruments. Anyone know of a replacement option for a white instrument face which might be easier to see during the day? God, I wish they offered a heads up display like the one on the Vette.

Might want to take off your sunglasses (Oakley). :p
Never heard of that problem yet.

Are you running your headlights during the day? If so, the interior lights sometimes actually make the instruments harder to see during the daytime.

I indeed may need better glasses but I think my problem is that the instruments faces are too small and trying to have a 180 mph speedometer marked in increments of 5 mph incruments on the top half of the gage instead of a 270 or 300 degree hand sweep. This thing is not easy for me to keep at speedlimit when you have a cop on your tail and you are trying to watch traffic in town at the same time.

With the aftermarked tint on the front windows I think they would be easier to read during daylight (when you don't have the lights on) if the faces were white with black markings.

I have no problems with my other vehicles because the gages are larger and had no problem with the SVT Lightning because gauges were white with black markings. I know that replacement aftermarket instrument faces are available for the Vettes and certain other vehicles. Just wondered if anyone else had knowledge of a replacement.

Kind of sounds like I would be better off to drive with the instruments lights on. Oh yeah, and get my eyes checked. Thanks

I know there was a guy over at lxforums.com making some for the other srt8 models but am not sure if they work with ours or if he made them for our car. I would reccomend doing a search over there and see what you come out with. Hope all goes good. And look at the bright side. When MR. Police officer pulls you over for speeding just say "its not my fault its the dam gauges" =)

EDIT: I found the link for the gauges.. To lazy to read it over but here yeah go .... http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=54897
