: BT Catch Can Noob Question
Marklorenzo 04-21-2010, 07:36 PM I am sure this question may have been asked before, but tonight My dad(Jntdysf) and I installed our catch can! It came in the mail today! All is fine and dandy, bolt screws in, top hose goes on, then we get to the bottom hose. We could not fit the hose BT gave us for the bottom. We tried oiling it up really good, and even thought about splicing it, but since the PCV has a flange on it, that prolly would look horrible and not work. We decided to install the original hose, and it fit perfectly, but it seems to be easily pulled off. Any idea why the hose that came with it did not fit? And this has nothing to do with it, but we installed the stant 18 lb radiator cap, and looks very sharp. Any input would be great.

kazaam 04-21-2010, 09:47 PM Dude, LMAO, I have the same issue. Mine's been on a bit over a week now and the other day I went under there to see it had slid off. I don't know what to do. I might be ordering the braided lines anyway since they look better. I can't find scott's phone number from Billet though. GL
yellowfever#154 04-21-2010, 11:47 PM The solution is easy. Contact Justin at the link below. He is known in the Viper and SRT-10 Ram world as having the nicest and best fitting aftermarket parts available for some vehicles. I have his CAI, catch can, and coolant overflow tank in my Jeep. They are beautiful pieces and everything fits like a glove. He doesn't have any pictures of his catch can on the website but I can take one later if you want to see it. Its the same catch can that he has listed under the SRT-10 Ram but it doesn't get mounted inside a CAI, it mounts on the passenger fender out of the way. Not like some of the other ones I have seen that mount on the engine itself.

I know they ship with sturdier hoses now, but haven't heard of them not going on.

Why contact Justin at a non supporting vendor for a hose that doesn't want to cooperate? There is nothing wrong with the BT catch can. In fact, and I think most would agree, why would we want the carch can mounted on the fender and have hoses running across the engine bay?

Beats me,First I have heard of it not going on.I know it can be a Pita where the PCV is located but not much I can do about that :)

There's nothing wrong with people recommending NSVs as long as they arent shilling for them and that doesnt appear to be the case here.

Fair enough. The cool thing is if i ever decide to become a non-supporting vendor, folks can still run around and post a link to my site.Definitly Good to know.:D
supabusa 04-22-2010, 09:52 AM I had a little trouble installing my lower hose as well. At least when I got it up there I knew it wasn't going anywhere. I agree with previous posts, contact the ones you purchased the part from. They have top notch customer service and have always bent over backwards to help me. $.02
Not trying to get off subject but is BT planning on offering the clear bottoms again in the near future?
rwboring 04-22-2010, 09:54 AM haha sounded like an old fashion plug

Not worried about it at all, just a few "weird" thing have gone on around here lately so I was just looking for clarification.

Yeah JayC's right from a personal experience recommendation point of view, but well if a pattern developes that's another story of course.

robertk59 04-22-2010, 12:30 PM I bloodied my knuckles trying to get the hose on... I got it on about 75% after battling it for 25-30 minutes. That is as far as I could get it on.
