My buddie has a new ss camaro and he is unware of our beasts performance. We both have been pampering our new rides and have never had a chance to toy with eachother yet. I have never said to him i can take you or any of that kind of sh@! but i hear now he thinks he will beat me. Can i spank him all stock ? When we race from a dig what should i do esp full off, on or partial off ?

It all depends. If he can drive, he should pull some higher 12's. If you're mostly stock you'll beat him off the line but he'll start creeping up when you get to higher speeds.

I have seen a lot of the SS CAMAROS run in the 1/8 mile and the fastest ran a 8.83 with drag radials which converts to a 13.80 in the 1/4 mile. At the same track i ran bone stock 8.39 so dont worry about him and dont race him from a roll as thats where he will get you as there 60' are like 2.20 from a dig. At the worst yours would be 8.75 1/8 mile and 13.65 1/4 mile with a 60' of 1.90. As far as the t/c button you can only turn it off theres no partial off thats only on the lx and ly cars not the jeeps.
The SS CAMARO 6 speeds are even worse with the traction as most run 9.0/9.20 with street tires in the 1/8 mile.

what? don't remove your filter... if you are that worried about intake just get a better flowing one... why spend over 30k on a car and pull out the filter... i knew someone who used to do that with their automatic focus...

Thanks for the info guys and jim383. So i should race with the esp off at what point do i turn it back on during the race or after its over ? I dont damage the trasfer case. Now do you guys tap shift the race or leave it in auto mode ? I dont have enough right now to do a predator & tune but i was thinking of just a cai for now. Is it worth it to put one on or should i wait until i can get them all ? I was thinking for temporary i would put a drop in k&n stock replacement. Anythoughts ? Thanks,Dave

As soon as the race is over turn it back on as i always turn mine back on as soon as i make a pass and get on the return road back to the pits.
