The beginnings of a formal SRT club in the region for ALL SRT vehicles and affiliates.

Location and Meeting Information.

Meeting will be at Arthur's Pizzeria Express 2010.

10 Blake St
Northborough, MA 01532

Saturday April 17th 2010
Restaurant Opens at 11AM, I will be there at that time.
Some others will arrive after 4-6pm.

They have pizza, subs, pasta dishes, salads, appetizers etc for those who wish to purchase lunch/dinner.

We will have registration Sheets there.

In this Meeting we will discuss:

* Construction of a Formal Automotive Club (Not just forum based).
* Forming the local chapters. (Northern/Southern ETC..)
* Legalities, responsibilities as a formed Automotive Club.
* Discuss possible By-Laws (so we don't have Tom, **** and Harry doing burn outs, power slides and bad conduct on public roads as a club.)
* Election talk of Club Officers (Director, President, Treasurer, Event Coordinator, Marketing coordinator etc..)
* Club Dues Single/Family (Family: This allows a member to bring his/hers family to events or BBQ's)
* What can you put in towards this club?

In this meeting we need to have ready:

* Suggestions, artwork etc... for decals, cards, wear.
* Few Events for calendar year 2010.
* Your Email for the Club emailing list (For meeting notes, up coming events and more).
* Club website, discussion. (Nick Fury from SRTforums.com is working with me on this)

Eventually we want to make it the largest ALL SRT vehicle club in the North East and have several events at local tracks, charities etc...!

Prally one of our SRT cousins!

I think it's a great idea, although, we must tread this trail lightly.
The problem the other JEEP (Offroad) clubs have had is the bureaucracy involved with so called President and Vice President hierarchy. I think a Board of members should be involved, so this way it's more like a member owned club, rather than a President owned club.
I think it's a great idea and it's worked on many other levels.
This Saturday will be tough, but I'll try to make it. The range of times is rather tough as well. 11am would be OK, but till 4 pm?
I'd like to know what time we would sit down to actually talk facts and figures for an hour or two. I'll try to time my arrival around that!

The Club will be a registered club 501c. Bylaws are put in place, Officers are needed, Financial status of the club is open to members and has to be filed with the IRS.

I will be there at 11am since that is the time the restaurant opens. I live in Worcester, Ma and Northborough is right next door basically. The restaurant is owned by my good friends family.

Basically Some guys are arriving early and some later. So the meeting is open all day as I will be there all day. Some guys have told me that they get out of work at 4-5pm so that is why the time is as it shows 11am is the time I am arriving.

We own a 2003 Dodge SRT-4 that we bought back in April 3rd 2003 and still own it. We drag raced it, showed it and had too much fun. My daughter will be driving later this year and she might be driving at the tracks too.

Here is the car going against Jeff Torrey of the New England VCA with his 92 R/T.

See you Saturday.

11.93@120 was at Lebanon Valley. We hope to run it end of this year. Still have to tear the transmission apart and upgrade it for the future power. Turbo is a 78lb/min turbo so we can do possibly 700whp+ on that one.

some pics of it. in the block picture we changed the head gasket to a MLS version and the wiseco pistons are replacing the Venolias ramp style.

Looks like rain for Saturday, oh my what will you do? Well read the very first post!

We should have a variety of SRT vehicles join, it gets boring seeing the same model over and over again!.
