Anyone know or a A6 of A8 sedan with a red badge???...just passed one going the other way and it sounded just as good as the SRT. I am wondering if this was a stocker or a modified car, looked stock but sounded great. Obviously I did not get a chance to run or take a good look since he was going the opposite direction...and yes it had four doors.:confused:

If it had the red badging it could have also been an audi RS6 (Twin Turbo 4.2 V8). friends dad owns one they have a nice growl to them.

I think that the S6 only comes as the avant (wagon) model.

In the U.S., the new S6 is only available as a sedan. Has a 420hp V10 vs. the S8 450hp rating.

There was an S6 Avant available in the U.S. but that was back in the mid 1990's.

The next RS6 is in the works and could have as high as 600hp.

The 2003 RS6's had an option 'sound enhancing exhaust' definitely made it sound mean, was one of my favorite things about it.

My RS6 had the sound enhanced exhaust. The tips on this option came in black. To be honest... my SRT8 has a better sound then my old RS6. The S8/S6 have "quad" tips. What did the exhaust look like?
