These stock pads have got to be the nastiest ever. Has anyone tried the EBC Red Stuff pads yet?. Please advise.

well... how does it stop?? i have the porterfield street compound and I am pissed - pedal feel is like wood. Pedal is very firm but it does not stop like it did stock - and this is with the benefit of Brakeworld slotted and crossdrilled rotors - truth be told - I think the porterfields suck!!!!!!!!!

Already have an unused set of the zeckhausen pads but was trying to avoid the feeling i ended up with ---
When the DR heads and 273 cam start going I cant get in the same trouble I did with the stock brake setup... totally sucks... even my wife to be things things have changed on a 1/2 mile jaunt to the store.

Sarge/ General - do the satisfieds feel like stock???

I recently had to replace my stock pads due to premature wear ;) I went with Gold Rotex for the fronts and hawk plus's on the back. God these pads are noisy. I can imagine what everyone else is complaining about now that I hear horribly loud brakes. My stocks actually felt better too. Time will tell.. Once I get new tires, I'll hit the track again and see how the new pad's hold up. One thing though.. very little dust.

If Hawk HPS pads fit, I had great success on the street with these in my Stoptech BBK on my WRX. Great bite and pedal feel, not too much dust. Just like any performance mod, there is always a trade off, the bitier and more powerful the pad is, the more brake dust you are going to get. I switched off between the HPS on the street and a stoptech pad on the track. Oh and the bitier the pad, the quicker you eat rotors. I also had a track specific rotor on the WRX.

Don't get me wrong here guys I love the way the BEAST stops. But me thinks me laundry bill is going to double. Are any of the pads that you guys are talking about "ceramic"? Just checking.
Thanks

The HPS's i suggested, are not ceramic, but Hawk does make a nice street ceramic compound.

I have not tried a ceramic compound, but from what I have heard, the Hawks are a good pad. I never tried them because of the added cost, and they were not as proven as the HPS. I also wouldnt have tried them on the track as they were not near as effective in extreme heat situations.
