I'm getting ready to move back to Germany and I'm concerned about the 80+ vibration problem. In my SRT-4 I would cruise between 120-140 mph on long trips. I don't want to rattle the jeep apart!

You're driving a high-speed SUV, don't expect to be able to coast around hard turns and weaves without hitting the brake, that's just silly, even if you're lowered.

YOu cruise at 120-140mph? Maybe you should stick with the 4 banger. You'll be lucky to get 150 miles per tank. lol SOunds a little excessive IMO.

You wouldnt understand unless you are there lol. I lived in Germany for 10 years I have only been back for a year but I am still adjusting to speed limits. Most of the speed limits on the autobahn are around 80ish but once it opens up on a long trip its just stupid to not to go faster. Anything above 140 was out of my comfort zone though. I did do serious suspension and brake upgrades to the neon though. I bought the jeep when I first got back and haven't had it above 90. I have a feeling it wont perform like the neon and am debating which one I should take with me.

100mph? Handles PERFECT...don't try to take a 90 degree turn tho....

100.....that's slow...handling gets scary at 155 IMO...you start thinking of a tire blowing or a cotton tail bunny running in front of you

Ya, I missed the germany part in the original post. As far as which one to take, I'b probably bring the neon to be honest. at 140 mph I don't even know what you'll be revving at 5 grand maybe lol.

i only have 1k miles on mine but i haven't had any vibration issues in it. i drove to columbus and hit 130 several times. it handled fine and there was no vibration ever. the only thing i would feel uncomfortable with would be taking turns in the thing at high speed.

Dan what you need to cure that wandering on the highway at highspeeds is either some Bwoody Links or a set of Eibach springs. I too felt what you are talking about and felt like I would hit cars and had to hold the steering wheel with both hands when on the highway and switching lanes. Now the Jeep with the Eibach springs and other goodies feels more stabil and more contriolled when on the highway. I noticed the problem went away with the Eibach Springs first and then I did the swaybar links and sway bars. Now my Jeep feels like it rides on Rails and handles awesome.
