Does anyone know how to remove the cup holder so I can clean them thoroughly?
Thanks in advance.

It is held in with rubber tabs front and rear. Not that hard to remove.

I had the same problem. The back comes out no problem, but the front won't budge. It seems to be up underneath the console in front of it. I gave up didn't want to break anything.

i tugged hard and got it out, but when i put it back it didn't really sit as well as it did before. but i didn't break anything . alot of dirt gets down there, thru the holes in the bottom. its good to clean it. (2nd post yaay)

Ok, it is possible to get it out without removing any other pieces, but here is another way that will make it a little easier.

1) Using your fingernails, pop up the chrome trim piece around the shifter and set aside. It is just held in by plastic tabs with small ridges. Should pop right up.

2) Next, starting at the front, pull up on the larger trim piece surrounding the shifter. This is the brushed aluminum piece and coin tray, all in one. Start at the front and pull up. It should pop out of it's clips. Work your way back until the entire piece pops out.

3) Once this is done, pop the rear cupholder tabs out, and start pulling on the front right of the cupholder. It takes a medium amount of force, but the rubber will pop out of the center console. There are two large tabs in the middle and two small tabs to the outside of those.

4) Clean your cupholder and everything goes in exactly opposite the way you took it out.

I had to learn on my own how to take the center console, radio and a/c controls out by myself. The previous owner had put some ugly Harman Kardon iPod screen and controller in the vehicle, so I had to strip it all out. Clean installation, but I didn't use it. Just got in there and started pulling on panels. ;)

BTW, anyone want to buy a used HK set-up? :D
