Feb. 5--CHICAGO--Chrysler Group adds a Performance SRT zone to its test track at the Chicago Auto Show this year.
On it, visitors will be driven in the performance versions of the Dodge Charger, Chrysler 300C, Dodge Magnum and Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The course will consist of quick acceleration to 28 m.p.h. and rapid braking back to zero in about 150 feet.
The off-road Jeeps and Dodge truck courses and on-road route in Chrysler and Dodge cars will be back from last year.
More than 63,000 visitors took test rides then.
The show opens at 10 a.m. Feb. 10 in McCormick Place North and South.
The test track is in the south building.
