Gotta give credit where/when its due, and James at R1 certainly deserves it.

Finally pulled the trigger on my Prem. drilled/slotted rotors, and some Hawk ceramics for the front. They arrived in good condition and nicely boxed. And they need to be when you figure they weigh 50+ lbs a box. Got the group deal with free shipping.

One of the 4 rotors had a VERY slight imperfection on one of the faces near two of the dimples. Didn't really think it would effect anything except maybe to scar the pad a bit, and neither did my tech at the dealer.

Anyway, just for the Hell of it decided to take a pic. Called James and left a voicemail just to ask his opinion. He called me back right away. Asked if I could email a pic. I did. He basically said that this was highly unusual, and it was so small that it probably wouldn't effect anything. He then went on to say......."However, it should have been flawless, and a new one is already being processed for shipment." :D I even offered to pay shipping one way, but he said no, they'll pay for it.

Within minutes he had emailed me a return label. Within a few more minutes I was emailed a tracking label for the replacement one already being sent out. I haven't even boxed up the one for return and the new one is already on the way. No waiting for inspection, no loss of an extra five days from the left coast.

To me this is SUPERIOR customer service and further emphasizes the fact that R1 is truly a "SUPPORTING" Vendor. Couldn't be more pleased and I thank you, James. Can't wait to get em on.

To me this experience just backs up all the positive things we've heard about R1, and should further reinforce the comfort zone for anyone considering a rotor etc. purchase.

That is great service! Not many companys will do that. They usually charge you for the new one and refund it when they get the old one. Props to James at R1!

Awesome, very glad to hear stuff like this as great customer service is a lost art!

It seems the only good stories I hear are on this forum from our respectable vendors. :)

I ordered mine 2 days ago can't wait till they come in. I placed my order fast and shortly there after I got my receipt in my e-mail
