Hey Guys.

New guy here looking to jump into my first SRT-8.

Just curious to see some of the used prices you guys were paying for the JGC at the moment. I was browsing around on cars.com and I'm seeing quite a large discrepancy between dealerships.

Example...

2007 with 26k miles for 27,900

Example 2...

2007 with 39k miles for 32,900

Both in the same condition...

to those that have purchased one within the last 6 months or so from the dealer, what are the average prices you are paying and how much wiggle room was there with the pricing?

thanks for your help guys and I'm excited to be here!

07 with 26K for $27900 is a fair/good deal assuming it has good history and not flogged and loaded . Example 2 well you can do better say................example 1

I bought mine in August last year. It's a 07 it had 20,000 miles, red rock fully loaded with an extended factory warranty to 75,000 and 3 years of oil changes for 30,000. It was the only one n town at the time. (I have only seen 1 for sale since).

And to give you an idea. I bought mine used 6 months ago from an individual.

I paid $34,000 for a 2008 with 12,000 miles on it and it has options 1 and came with a predator that was never used.

I was looking at a dealer at the same time that wanted $41,000 for a 2008 with 25,000 miles and would not budge or negotiate with me at all.

And right now there is a 2007 with 45,xxx miles at the same dealer right now for $37,850 !!!!

But the prices from the dealers also depends on where you are located. So, these prices might be reflecting where I am from, but gook luck with purchasing one. You will love it!

I have been looking at a couple out here on long island at my family friends dealership (eagle auto mall in Riverhead) there is a red rock there now. An 07 with 11k on it and they are asking 34,900 for it.

Both examples are on the east coast. the one for 27K is in New Jersey and the one for 32K is in Mass.

Thanks for the replies guys! Keep em coming if you can!

I just bought my '07 three weeks ago from Carmax. It had just under 21k miles, it's fully loaded including Nav and VES. I paid $31,850. Like you, I've seen some wild price swings. I feel the price I paid was fair... neither too high nor too low. LVSRT8 (above) got a much better deal than I did though!! I'm in western NC but the Jeep was actually shipped from Nashville. Not sure if prices are that much different between the 2 locations.

You might want to call to make sure they have the truck. These trucks go very fast. Everyone I called about was sold within a day or two.

Also the 07 at 27,900 is fraud if its from 21st century cars in springfield, NJ. They dont have it but will tell u it is still there to get u to drive there then try and sell you a different car. I called about one that was a black 07 with those miles for that price. The internet picture had a big red ribbon on the hood.

When I called they said they had it and if I wanted to put down a deposit. I said no of course not since I did not see the car yet. I drove 3 hours to go see it and when I entered the showroom and asked a salemen he showed me a 08 for almost 50K(which I told him new ones were cheaper, lol). I told him this was not the car and then showed him the internet ad. He said he never saw that car before but maybe it was sold that day. I asked to see the sales sheet which he could not provide. He then said he would take a few grand off the 08 but I said I would never buy a car from them since they baited me down there on false ads. When i got home I looked them up and they had many other cases before reported. So beware. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. However I did find out if I did put a deposit down and had them send me a reciept with the info I could have screwed them casue they would have been forced to sell me the 50K one for that price since they did not have the one I would have put the deposit down on.

I looked around for a month and everytime I found one it was gone quick. In the northeast they are in high demand. However if you dont mind traveling I found some in chicago area and texas that were going for good prices. I finally lucked out finding one in delaware. It was there for 2 days when I bought it and I was in a bidding war with another guy. Mine was fully loaded 06 with 24K miles, very clean carfax, car in mint condition. I was lucky casue this 06(late model 06 so its almost a 07) was in better condition and lower miles then every 07 and 08 I saw. I paided 28,500, there asking price was 32. I again lucked out casue the other person I was bidding against in the next room could only get approved for 28K:) The range you will find in northeast will be from 27K to 35K and higher for a 06 to 08 depending on mileage, nav or not, and condition.

I have absolutely no problem flying across the US as long as its a good deal and legit. I'd love to fly out and drive it back and take a mini tour of the states while I'm at it. Granted its not the best long commute vehicle (due to the MPG) but whatever.

Son of a ***** yes, that's the SAME jeep that I saw. the one with the red ribbon on the hood, I would have been absolutely FLOORED if I had to drive 3 hours for a vehicle that didn't even exist.

Also what is the difference between the various years of vehicles?

2006-2007-2008-2009-2010?

thanks again!!

The 06 and 07 have a different radio style. REC not MyGIG. 06 does not have the rear camera but has backup sensors instead, but if u can drive who the hell cares, lol. 08 or 09 and up I belive now have the red calipers instead of the black. Also Factory Remote start was not a option 06, it began in 07. New 09 and 10's have newer style electronic sensor keys like audi has. I test drove a brand new 2010 srt-8 and honestly not much different then my 06 I bought other then what I mentioned above. However the price difference was huge, lol. Im sure there are a few other little things here and there that are different but engine wise and all the main features/options are the same in all the years except the radio.

I was also under the impression that there were differences in headlights, and also colored trim on the bumper between certain years.

also do the rear fog lights work on all models? or is that something that has to be activated?

The 08+ have the projectors, but I think that is only if you have one of the SRT options.

The rear fogs don't work from the factory with the US version but you can hook them up. There is no difference in the tirm besides i think only the 06 (maybe the 07 not sure) are have black by the fogs not body color.
