Well, since it is done for the SRT8 in the near future I am thinking about putting my 41,000 mile 07 in the garage from here on out. I hurts to do that but these things are going to be collectors items as far as I'm concerned. Any of you guys thinking of doing the same?

garaged for good?

Honestly, it is a jeep and the values won't go up anytime soon.

Watch tonight it will be out of the garage! LOL

Collectors items value on cars are not seen until after 20 years or so after the final production. And if they make a second gen SRT-8, well your values are fawked.

Drive the thing.

Thank you very much.

There will aways been performance cars of some kind. As all i ever buy is mopars i have waited over the yrs to get what they put out. The only time i made a big mistake was not paying 650 bucks to get the 426 in my 68 road runner. Drive the jeep and enjoy it as the cars of today will never be sought after like the muscel cars of the 60/70s.

Did you buy it to park it in a garage? No? Then I would drive the thing and enjoy it. You want a collectors item by the first year or last year with next to 0 miles and store that one. Stored cars may look good but they aren't a lot of fun if you can't/won't drive them. Not to mention if you just stick it in a garage the seals will dry out, gaskets get brittle, fuel goes bad and the tire get flat spots from sitting. Driving it sounds like way more fun to me and as long as you take care of it it will still be worth something in 20 yrs. My .02 cents worth.

We knew you'd be back. Lol. No offense, dude but WAKE THE F*** UP!! LOL. It is a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 that is begging to be driven. Its sole purpose in life is to put a smile on YOUR face and a look of "Holy Sh!t!" on the other person's face that you just raced.

You'd have to keep it in the garage for like 20 yrs, LOL

Even if they do stop making them forever, which i doubt they will, id bet on one in 2012, they will never be collectors items... not in my opinion anyway, even though they are low production niche vehicles, theyll never bring in enough money to compensate for the opportunity cost

I hear you guys. Thanks for bringing me back to my senses. I could not imagine not being able to drive this beast every day. I just want the awesomeness to live on forever!

^^^ LOL!! But seriously, if you watch any of those vehicle auctions on TV such as Mecum, they inevitably have some "rare" vehicle that's been under lock and key, wrapped in a time bubble for 25 years with just 6 original miles, blah, blah, blah. But they end up selling for $17,500 or some such lowball $$. I honestly don't believe the SRT8 qualifies as a true classic collectable, nor will it ever IMHO. Don't get me wrong... they're rather rare and highly desirable. But they don't fall into "exotic" category, and I feel it would be a mistake to park it. As was said by many above, this Jeep LOVES to be driven! And HARD! You'd be kicking yourself every time you peeked in the garage. Drive the darned thing (which you've already started doing LOL). Just my .03 cents, FWIW.

I think you have a better chance making money buying lottery tickets.

You should sell the Jeep and use all the proceeds to buy lottery tickets.:D
