: 2010s still have issues with exhaust tips?

I had a 2007 SRT-8 that had this issue. Back in the market for another one and am seeing this problem on the 2010s as well. Despite my best efforts to search for "uneven exhaust tips" nothing came back, but I know there have to be threads about this. Anyone got links to them, or even better, how to fix them without re-welding?

Thanks,

Matt

you can usually adjust them by friggin around with the exhaust hangers

Loosen the clamps where the rear resonators, pipe, tips, etc.. attach to the muffler section of the exhaust and adjust one or the other or both until they are even.

No need to weld anything.

they're pretty well aligned on my 2010. Maybe a cm or two off but I'm the only one who would notice.

My 2010 body panels, sheetmetal gaps and exhaust tips are symmetric.

Loosen the bolts on the rear resonators and adjust the tips accordingly. It helps if you have someone with a good eye watching while you move the resonator up or down, but it can be done alone by semi tightening the bolts and getting out from under the truck to check a couple times.

Mine was SLIGHTLY off. Me having the OCD I have, I had my exhaust guy straighten them out when I had the resos chopped off along with a new muffler installed.

whats wrong with having a muffler shop fix them...or the dealer! its not that big of a deal..

Mine were off a bit (right lower than the left). I'm getting them fixed as part of the overall reinstall of my new exhaust after the accident. You should have seen how "uneven" they were after I got rear ended. Sheesh.
