Well let's start on Sunday afternoon, I found out a family friend who came back from a one year tour of Iraq (Marine) killed him self in the morning. On Monday, I found out I'm still getting paid my old rate which is $25k less than it should be. I got a promotion and started my new job about three weeks ago. I was told by our H.R. Head it may take one more week to change in the system. So my paycheck sucked because I increassed my TSP savings and put more $ in another bank account. Tuesday I found out the details as to why a 26 yearold, that had his whole life ahead of him killed him self. On wednesday I guess was the only good day!! Thursday while I was at work my Jeep gets hit, someone backed into my right front bumper, rim, tire, and fender. I was so F-ing pissed, I never parked near the visitor lot.

I work at a Federal Prison so after talking to my captin, he gave me the premission to review the surveillance tapes, to find out it was a contractor who backed into my jeep, then left with out getting out of his truck. I was told the FBOP will pay for the damages. I need to fill out a report with pictures and three different estiemates. I got my first one, $4800 bucks!!! I was told a new front rim is $1400, tire about $475, bumper $815, headlight $250. I didn't call my allstate agent to see if I can use them to get it fixed faster. It's the Goverment it may take a few months for them to send me a check. On Friday night I went to my buddies wake, it was one of the hardest things to do, seeing his wife (25) as a widow. I couldn't think living without my wife, and to know this was preventable only if he was treated for P.T.S.D. I fell like ****, knowing if thier was anything else I could have done for him. I don't know much about the support after they come home from war, I know he was not the first or last to kill them self. Wow Im sorry it ended up being such a long post, but I fell better getting this out. Thank you for reading this post.

Sorry about all the bad news. My thoughts and prayers go out to your friends family and loved ones. I think you will see what this forum is all about. Not about just showing off your Jeep or having the sickest, baddest, fastest, whatever....it's just a bunch of guys getting togehter to share something. Good times and bad, they happen to all of us and if there is anything anyone on here can do for you (including myself) don't hesitate to ask. You will see how quickly you will get a response. Keep your head up my friend as you have a great group of guys here for support.

Forget about the Jeep for now. I'm so sorry you lost your friend. For whatever the reason was, it is NOT your fault. Don't make your days even more difficult by putting that weight on your shoulders. Keep your head up, brother. There's NEVER a post too long for venting. Its healthy for you.
