Haven't tried it, but have many years in less capable vehicles at the beach. I'd say it would be no problem as long as you stay out of the softer stuff. Not much ground clearance on these beast.

LOL! Yeah I've seen some pretty capable 4x4's get stuck in just the soft stuff at the base of the dunes. I definitely wouldn't try climbing any dunes in a SRT8.

Used to see scalpers in 4x4's with balloon tires on S. Padre as a kid that would just drive up and down the beach looking for tourists that had never driven in sand before. They could make some decent money over a holiday weekend. Then there's the fools that park down by the water and find it buried to the frame or worse in no time. But I never took any of my nicer cars down there. The sand combined with the salt air is super corrosive. Bought an old beat up pickup for that duty.

If I recall someone here posted pics of their SRT on the beach... last year, maybe do a search.

Nah I would never bring it close to water, never on dunes, just to unload crap for when I go camping twice a year. And the sand is more of a very fine rocks, not the sand like on the south shore of long island

Should be no problem at all then.

There was a video of a challenge between a Viper and a SRT8 Jeep I saw not long ago. They were racing to a certain location. The Viper stuck to the paved roads and the Jeep went cross country. There was one rocky hill I recall the Jeep had a read tough time climbing. The Viper won. The std GY's really work best on dry pavement from my experience.

I have taken it on the beach at pismo and you will get stuck if you go in the soft stuff. Its to low to just mash the gas to make it through, I didnt want to rip off my bumper. If the Jeep was a little higher or the sand had been packed down more from a busy weekend or rain I would have probably been fine.

I have.
Ocean Shores here in Washington.
You can drive on the Beach no problem.
Just make sure you wash your car after because of salt water.

Yeah with different tires it might've been a different outcome...

I'm sure it would do fine on some damp packed sand but not that dry thick heavy loose sand...no way.
