My beautiful Ebony Beast is at the doctor right now to fix her feet again.
First, afew weeks ago I got a nail in the drivers side rear....Now the passenger side rear....
This is pissing me off now. I have no idea where they are coming from.
Since I as already at the dealer, I made an appointment to have the grinding rear sound looked at...Im also getting the tilt mirrors done. and an oil change.
Any other things I should have done? I dont know all the TSB's available.

As a General Contractor I could write a book on flats. On my Overland, I never rotated the tires, just kept replacing them one by one.

I wonder how many patches they can put in a single tire before having to replace?

Why do they use a patch and not a plug?

can't plug run-flats. . . they are covered by a 1yr mfr road hazard warranty though, I had a slice in the side wall of my left front from a mysterious piece of NJ highway scrap metal and had the tire replaced no charge, check with your local Goodyear

i always thought that high perf tires like these needed to be replaced when punctures with things such as nails

At the highway speeds and strip miles I put on, I will not run at speeds with anything plugged / patched etc. Sure don't want my wife having a problem with a 5,000 lb. uncontrollable vehicle 80+ mph!

sorry. . . correction, can't patch run-flats, can plug them; but still a temp fix. . . if you're driving this vehicle the way most of us do (legally and on the track, of course:) ), then you need a strong tire, especially if the damage is on that thin sidewall! All I know is that a month before I had my tires swapped for a recall I caught a tear on the left front sidewall and the tire was replaced N/C by Goodyear, then I got 4 new tires with the recall and a month later I had a huge bubble on the sidewall of my left front, again, replaced at N/C to me. If it was me, I'd go to the Goodyear dealership and discuss road hazard coverage and free replacement!
