its in the EVIC. Press the MenU button until you see the option come up then hit the STEP button to turn it off

Mine never seem to go back where they were once I put it back in drive. I need to readjust my mirrors every third or fourth time.

I don't think my mirrors move when I put it in reverse. Since I back into my garage, I would have noticed that.

It defaults to off so unless they have been turned on by a dealer they should be off. It takes the sealer about 5 minutes to turn this function on. Mine did it for no cost. Avoiding curb rash on my wheels by being able to see curbs and such is worth it to me to adjust my mirror every now and then. Here is a link explaining how to have this function turned on: http://www.cherokeesrt8.com/forums/showthread.php?t=249&highlight=mirror

the 300C SRT8 can be turned on by the evic. I am going to try it on the jeep right now.

Trust us. It doesn't work the same on the Jeep. I had a 300C before the Jeep. It was accessible on the 300 but you need a $4,500 starscan interface to turn it on and off on the Jeep. Most dealerships should do it for free while you wait.

I printed out the "directions" for enabling the reverse tilt mirrors and took it to my dealer. He has the StarScan and agrees easilly to do this for me at no charge.

Even with the instructions I provided, he still could NOT find the right menus to perform this task:(.

Is there different versions of the hardware, or did he miss something:confused:??

When he goes in the starscan tell him that the reverse tilt mirrors is in the memory seat area. So go to the options and then go to the memory seat and in that menu will be the reverse tilt mirrors click enable or disable. Personally i would do disable they suck when they are turned on. There is no way to back up and use the mirrors, they point straight at the ground. You have to turn around and look out the hatch. Its purely lame

Thanks for the reply. I had this feature in a previous SUV and liked it allot. Difference is that is was a selectable option by the driver. The switch was located with the electric mirror adjustment knob, so when you did not need it, you very easily disabled it. I usually kept it disabled until the few situations that I needed (wanted) it.

Too bad we can't select this from inside the GC SRT.
