The Dealerships out here in Hawaii are trying to rip me off just because I have a sound system. My park assist lights keep going off (blinking even while im driving) and my Ipod direct connection doesnt work for some reason i took it to the dealership they held it for a day and a half and all they did was look at my sound system and tell me that was the cause (my system has a seperate battery and its connected through the rockford fosgate 360.2). They are trying to tell me i have to pull everything out??? yet they dont even know where the problem is coming from! but they want me to pay out of pocket for the labor!!! because they are saying my warranty doesnt cover it...there is only 3 dealerships out here and i have been to two already. does anyone know where the wiring for the Park Assist is??? doesnt the dealership have to PROVE its my fault before they just void my warranty and try make me pay out of pocket??? is there anything i can do??? i need your help ladies and gentleman because i paid good money for my beast and this is straight bullsh**!

why dont you just disconnect the stereo. then once the issue is fixed, you reconnect it.

Magnuson Moss Act U.S. Code 15 Chapter 50 covers consumer warranties. In your case the dealership first has to prove that the aftermarket stereo system that you had installed caused the issue with the park assist. I would go on line print out a copy of the Magnuson Moss Act read over it to educate myself and then take the copy and go back to the dealership and have a little sit down and education time with the Service Manager. If that doesn't work I'd go to the dealership owner, if that doesn't work then goto the District Rep. and up the chain or ladder from there. Hope this helps you out.
