What setting did you use? Try adjusting the wiper speed knob. That may make the difference.

I have mine set in such a way that my wipers come on with a drizzle and road spray.

OH OK I HAD WIPERS SET TO OFF AND WHEN I TURNED THEM TO ON THEY CAME RIGHT ON..SO IF I TURN THEM ON NOW WITH NO RAIN THEY WILL STAY OFF TILL THEY SENCE RAIN? THANK YOU

you dont have to wait for rain to test. I found out washing my windshield once with the acc on, anything gets in front of the camera/sensor/whatever behind the review mirror will trigger the wipers.

the only reason i brought up the owners manual was because i didn't know how to use the auto wipers either and the manual explained it in a clear and easy manner.
