So I have had the Jeep for a few months now and due to mostly winter months here in my neck of the woods there has not been much excitement to play around with on the roads. In the past few weeks though spring has arrived and some of the parked for the winter toys have been out on the streets once again.

The first real run I had was a Viper SRT10 Truck. From a light I ended up with a solid 1-2 car jump right out of the hole and up till about 160km/hr he was only able to slowly edge back about half of that. I only had the 91 canned tune installed at this point (no CAI) and I didn’t hit the launch real well and she bogged a bit. Close run and lots of fun beating a 500+hp unit even if he weighs what? 5500lbs? (it was the short cab version)

Yesterday I ended up at a light on another straight stretch with a brand new shiny and beautiful corvette (non Z06, looks stock). Mid 40’s guy driving it and looked like he just got her out of storage for the season. I figured I was going to have to really egg this guy on to get him to run as most vette guys up here don’t tend to pay much attention to SUV’s / sport trucks wanting to run even if they are of the performance variety. Lucky for me I just had the reso’s deleted and she is sounding good. I also have my B-woody 4” CAI installed now. So I’m sitting at the light revving her up a little and edging forward and stopping and doing just about everything I can to get this guy to show some respect for the Jeep. Long red light and we had lots of staging time. No real traffic issues up ahead and nothing but open road. Light goes green and this time I have one of the best launched I have made to date (wish I had the 0-60 timer up). I run her out till mid way through second gear before I noticed vette guy had babied it as much as he possibly could have and was still just rolling out of the intersection!!! I was pissed and for the record will be chocking this one up as a kill by forfeit!! lol

Question though, how do we fair against a 430hp / 6.2 liter new gen vette?? I had a SRT8 Charger previous to this with some minor mods and it was right on par pretty well all the way through with these cars. I would expect my Jeep to take him by a car out of the hole and if we run long enough he comes back to get me by about a car at the end of a ¼ mile?

They are no Joke once rolling man , off the line to 60-70 you'll own it with the mods you have but after that forget it , they run low 12's 1/4 mile .

Sort of what I was thinking. Up here they run low 13’s which is what my Charger ran (13.1 @ 112). I would expect my Jeep with the current mods to run around 13.4-13.5 @ 102-104ish.

If you read the thread on youtube it says thats an 11.5 second vette vs a stock 13.3 second Jeep.
Either way it answers my question pretty well. It took that vette 7 seconds to pull even with a stock Jeep. At 7 seconds a stock Jeep should be in around 75MPH I guess (0-60 in 5.0-5.5 seconds).

I have an 05 C6 with the 400HP LS2 and it is faster than my SRT8. The new LS3 is even more of a monster. You will get it out of the hole but it will walk right by.

My GXP had the LS3 and after I tuned it, it ran pretty well. All comes down to when he gets traction. The jeep would get out to at least 3 cars, but I'd reel in by about 70-80, again, depends on traction.

Was that SRT10 truck quad cab or 2? I had a quad (got kids) SRT10 (auto only) and my friend had a 2dr / stick and that 2dr is much faster.

In the first post he said it was a regular cab.
