My 2010 GCSRT8 goes into the Shop Monday to get the lower part of the rear Pass. Side door repainted. There are great big globs of paint, not runs but globs, covering about 3 square inches. Something like this should never have left the Factory let alone be delivered to a buyer. Overall the build quality is very good on this GCSRT8 better than my 08 was. Something like this is stupid and should have never happened. It's stupid things like this that give the Product a bad name.

a few years back i bought a brand new wrangler sahara
about a week after having it i noticed that the whole back end looked like it was covered in dust
it turned out thet the paint machine had run out just as it painted the back and what you could see was the under coat
had to go back to dealers for whole back respraying
like you said how can something like this get through quality control ?

This is complacency at its best. I actually believe they have a bunch of morons managing the Jefferson Plant... quality culture is generally driven from the top down.
Sept/Oct 2008: I ran across a new silver 09 at a dealership... the entire hood had what my dad would describe as "holidays". You could see the undercoating due to voids in the color coat.. essentially the factory gave the hood a light dusting with silver and then clear coated the hood. Needless to say I moved on..
In 2008-09 I found about 40% of the GCSRT's on dealer lots had fit and finish issues...
Chrysler / Jeep whatever... the management and employees better get their act together soon.
