Sitting at a stop light Saturday afternoon and to my luck a GTO rolls up next to me. He jumps early but I reel him in quick an keep it nailed around a curve just after the light blowing by him. Don't believe he had the handling to keep on it in the curve. I slow waaay down so we both are in line again at the next light. I look over and ask "what is that?" and he starts going on about his 6.0L "corvette" engine...etc...etc. I say mine is just a Jeep with a HEMI, want to try again? Light changes, same story. No contest. Goat is best smoked!!! First bow-tie Kill...

Nice. Wonder how his side of the story played out on the GTO forums! :p

Had my own little "experience today". I tried to get a closer look at a Mustang Cobra today that was obviously modded, at least from the sounds of it.

For whatever reason, this clown thought I was trying to race him. Not being a nerd or anything but it wasn't the time or place, and I'm not a big fan of setting myself up for an azz-whoopin'; but this guy was a straight up douchebag. He tried to boot and starts ripping in and out of traffic, wasn't going anywhere, and when I turn off the exit ramp he slams on his brakes and swerves at me and starts flipping me off. Whatever...

I guess I reminded him of the inadequacy he felt in high school when showering after gym class.

No matter how big and/or bad you are, there's always someone bigger and badder.

Now that twin turbo Ford GT I was talking about in another post, that's a whole different story, I think the only thing I'd sweat with that bad boy is low flying aircraft!

Good kill. The newer Goat will give you a better run for your money.

Not to hijack but I had a good one last night. Pulled up next to a stock c5 convert and looked down in. I said, "You think that thing can beat my Jeep?" Mullet toting 50 something chuckles and says "This is a corvette son." He revs is motor...light turns green...4 car lengths right off the bat...I see him try his best. But never catches me to 80. I slow down for the next stop light..he doesnt even look at me. Chalk another one up for the HEMI.

Any Kill story is always welcome on any thread...

A few weeks ago a young guy comes up behind me in a Stang GT that did not sound stock but was probably just aftermarket exhaust. (sounded sweet I must say) I've got the wife and two girls in the SRT so I'm not looking to play. He is bumping around behind me and and when the road goes 4-lane he jumps beside me. As we are approaching the stop light I see it go yellow and start thinking how I will convence the wife to let me teach him a lesson. Well, the JGCSRT8 reputation gave me the victory without asking because just before the light turned red the kid punches it and basically runs the light to keep from going from a stop.

A true reputation kill!!! At least the kid knew to respect the better machine.

I'm not so at painting the picture with words, so lets just say a '00-'03 Mustang GT with at least exhaust couldn't pull away from my Jeep from a 70-110 run. I had 4 people + luggage in the car.......:p

Was the Goat stock, or did he say when he was running his piehole at the redlights? Nice Kill bro:)

Stock goats are easy pickings, modded watch out! I seen one run low 11's at ATCO.

Nice kill!

the past 3 times i've been to the track there has been a silver gto there. his 12.5 times beat my 13.2 times but he's on drag radials. if we were ever to meet up on the street it may be a different story because street or strip, i have no traction issues whereas he would have to get out & switch tires to keep up. by the time he did that, i would be long gone. :D from a roll i'm thinking he would probably take me.

The GTO was stock. Did not sound like it even had aftermarket exhaust, althought it is hard to tell from 2-3 car lengths ahead. I really hope he does not know what a SRT is and really believes a 5.7 with nice wheels left him way behind.
