What's the best way to SAFELY remove the Jeep logo?

First, make certain it's not one that has been screwed on and will require filling/repainting.

- The easiest way is to heat the badge with a hair dryer to loosen the 3M adhesive and see if it pulls away easily. If it does not, try heating some more as you pull.
- If still having a hard time, you can get behind it using monofilament (fishing line) or dental floss and work from one side to the other using a sawing motion
- Finally, clean up any remaining adhesive residue with WD-40, clean and re-wax or seal.

If you plan to do this, it's best to do it while the vehicle is new to avoid possible variations in paint due to normal fade. Be sure to post pics if you do this!

Thank you! I've had mine for about a month and have only added the clear tail lights. Hopefully the sun hasn't faded the paint enough to detect anything. I live in Ohio and it hasn't been very sunny YET.

I'd like to remove the hood "Jeep" logo as well at the tailgate logo. Are either of those bolted on??

No. They are both stuck on with two sided tape.

I just took my JEEP emblems off a couple of weeks ago. It's quick and easy. Make sure you give the car a good wash and wax after to even everything out. If you want pics of the car without them let me know.

Here are two not-so-good pics without the rear logo. Sorry, I thought I uploaded all the pics from my camera. I'll post some of the front tonight or tomorrow.

Yup-- I also did mine. I did it just a coupleof days after bringing it home. Within the first few months (unless you live in high heat areas) these emblems come right off. No exterior emblems are bolted on on this vehicle.

No pics of the nose, but it is VERY clean looking without a badge, IMO.

I will say, I do like the SRT8 badge remaining... that's a badge of honor, IMO.
Looks good guys!

Another way....

Heat the letters, use a credit card (or something similar), and push into the black adhesive. After you have enough leverage, pull the plastic toward you, and they pop right off.

Just did it to mine, and no damage, etc.

I having my car Superguarded (9 micron shell applied to protect the paintwork), so nobody will ever be any the wiser....
