Hey Everyone! I purchased a new 2007 GC SRT8 at the end of February from a dealership in MN. To make a long stroy short, I am not that happy with the service, knowledge that they offer at my current dealer. Anyone from MN have a dealer that they would recommend be to go to for better service and more knowledge about our trucks?! Unfortunately, It seems that everytime I go to mine I feel like I know more about my truck then anyone there. Let me know asap if anyone Minnesotans have any good info for me! Thanks a million in advance!

I just purchased a GCSRT8 from Don Conrad at champion Dodge in Illinois. I had it delivered to my door in Michigan. I am scared to death to take my vehicle in for any service work with the two dealerships I have in my area that deal with SRT8. The reason being is, when I was shopping for the
GCSRT8, The dealerships in my area wanted way too much $$ for the vehicle.
One dealer actually did meet my price but at the same time he told me if I didn't have my vehicle serviced at his dealership that I would have problems having serviced elsewhere. I told him I would take my business elsewhere.I told them this is my first Chrysler Dodge Jeep product and they didn't care. I called the dealership closest to me and asked them if I bought a vehicle from another dealership would they have a problem serving it ( the same dealership turned down a very reasonable offer for a GCSRT8). The dealership told me that I would be bottom of the totem pole because I didn't buy it from them. This all happened before I got the vehicle. I saved thousands of $$ but I hope it doesn't come back to haunt me in the future. Plus like you said I know from experience that I know more about the vehicle than the dealership that I will be dealing with for service. Hopefully in time they will realize that the markup on these things is outrageous and dealerships out there are willing to deal. Maybe by then the hostility between me and the dealership will have settled so I can hand him my list of repairs and service like I have with my GM vehicles,no questions asked.

thats all BS. i used to write service. they get payed to do warranty work. you need to contact jeep customer care. they will be kissing you A$$. any dealer anywhere will and has the obligation to service you as they would anyone else. that is part of being authorized jeep dealer!!!

I called Chrysler while I was shopping and told them what a hard time I was having. I told them that dealerships that I didn't purchase from told me service work would be second rate since I didn't buy from them.. They were very nice but told me that some dealerships treat their buying customers #1 over me even though I shopped for the best price. I pleaded my case telling them this a special vehicle and most dealerships want top $ and what consumer wouldn't shop for the best price. They tried their best to insure me my vehicle would be taken care. I'm sure that I am worrying over nothing but I hope my dealership doesn't give me a problem when the gears are whining the the shocks are hanging and all the warning lights are showing on the dash.I appreciate the reinsurance. Like I said I'm sure I'm worried about nothing.

Unfortunately, just about any dealer you go to you are going to know more than the dealer if you follow this forum a lot. I think you have to go into the dealer with that mentality. You have to tell them exactly what you want done, it you leave it to the you will get burned! I asked a couple of forum guys from my area about the Jeep dealer nearest to where I jsut moved. I found out ahead of time that they were worthless. I actually went to a Dodge dealership near me instead. I still told them exactly what I wanted done ahead of time.
If you read the chat session log from last week, you will see that this is a continuing problem for the SRT line-up...keeping the service techs around at the dealerships after they get their SRT service training. But it sounds like they want to fix that problem, or so they said.

Just schedual an appoint, and establish a relationship with the dealership. They will work on your vehical regardless of where you got it.
