Hey Everyone,
I have been looking at purchasing an srt 8 for the past few months. I have narrowed it down to a few but I had a question. Will the srt 8 pass the MA emissions test with Headers?
I tried researching this online but couldn't find a clear answer. Thanks in advance everyone!

cats or no cats? and what exhaust are you running? you must know someone who can give you a "inspection"

I doubt you will pass an emissions test in MA with headers, even if they're catted. Like mklaus said just find someone who will let you slide.

you might make it, sometimes you just have to ask around and accidentally drop 100 bucks out of your pocket.

you should pass. Pm replied. Just remember don't drop dimes if you get pulled over with tint or something always reply "I just had it done after my sticker." or the better one.. "it came that way":D

Nothing a 12 pack of beer can't fix. Just look for the place that has the hot rods outside or any modified car around.

If you snitch, we kill! Too few out there to let any cats out of the bags if you know what I mean!
I honestly don't think it would even come up if you have the Cats on. How would headers help or lack of headers help in controlling emissions? That's what Cats are for. Everything else is just piping.

...so i took the beast in today for an inspection and it got the big REJECTION! The good news is the guys were admiring the exhaust and didn't say anything about the headers...They received a message saying the CAT and 02 sensors were "not ready"
I think this is because of the MHP tune that came with the SRT8. I installed the stock tune tonight and will run it for a 150 miles or so. I am hoping this fixes the problem!!

**HINT** Find a more "friendly" inspection station! Bring Coffee and Donuts!
