Does Anyone Know How Much The Stock SRT Rims Weigh On Our Jeeps?

I am trying to find out for replacement rim purposes. I just don't want to give up horsepower by putting on a heavier rim than stock. I already know how much the run flats weigh. Can anyone help with the rims?

Thanks!

If you replace them. Hang onto them. They are over $900 per wheel from the dealer. They will be a hot commodity.

Wheels = Front , 36.2 lbs. Back, 37.6 lbs.
Tires = Front, 36 lbs. Back, 40 lbs.

Yeah if you rob somebody for one... otherwise you're still out the money for heads and cam anyways.

Damn, they're that heavy? :(

Yes, extreme weight is the result of 1-piece forged wheels combined with run-flat tires.

I see this as an opportunity: upgrading to lighter aftermarket wheels and tires could yield better results at the track.

Thank you for the fast responses. I guess I have another thought. If we reduce the weight of both the stock rims and tires, by going to both lighter weight rims and tires; will this make our Jeeps faster on the street than the stock wheel package? Or is it only something that would be realized on the track or in fuel economy? I am going to replace mine and am looking for more benefits to this change other than cosemtic.

Thanks!

Reducing rotational mass is great for everything, handling, acceleration, component wear. Every lb of rot. mass lost equates to 3-4x as much non rot. mass as far as acceleration, stopping, handling are concerned.
I never really thought about how heavy our wheel/tire package is, but as Jamie stated, there could be a tenth, maybe more, in lightweight wheels/tires. Results will show not only at the track, but on the dyno as well. I've seen a quick lightweight wheel swap net 10rwhp on a 400rwhp car on the rollers.
