O'k you buggers are killing me with your mod talk................looks like I'm jump'n in to the mix, at least a little.
1. So do I get the 180 stat, AFE CAI, then get the preditor and tune to match?
2.Is the raised throttle body(90mm) worth $95.00?
3.Whats the difference between 3,3.5 and 4" CAI?
4. What is the difference between a preditor and custom tune(thinking of Tim at DCX, from what I have read) and a Jet chip please explain?
5. Oh! throw in the $599.00 Diablo sport tuner and I'm really messed up which way to go and what they do/benifits?
6.What sequence to buy in,do I need all the mods on first before I add the tune.

I have an 07 with now 30K on it...............I hope to have pic's up soon as the weather is starting to improve. I will also give a run down and thoughts on my machine now that I have had it a month. I have several emblems on the way that is my only add-ons so far.

Thanks guy's for any feed back.

^^ I like his idea

Where do you live? Is it warm there often, or how hard will you be driving the jeep?

This is what i did and has worked out very well.
1 - Catch can then CAI (most cai are about the same as if i was going to get 1 today it would be volant or afe 2.)
2 - Predator/CMR DYNO TUNE.
3 - This is it every thing else is bone stock and with a race wt of 5190 lbs i just ran my P/B in the 1/8 mile of 7.98 @ 85.37 mph. Im still running GY RUNFLATS and my 60' is 1.73.
4 - You dont need to spend a lot of money and get a lot of mods to go fast.

Thanks for the feed back guy's......................I live in K/City area this is why I was looking at the AFE II and not bwoody because weather is very unpredictable and hence CAI needs to be a little protected snow, rain ect: I really need some help on the process of adding the mods as I do not want to add tune then add t-stat(if needed) Oil can if needed do the tune then have to send it back to do all over again. I'd rather buy all at once put it all on then add tune if that if that way I will get the greatest impact to my driving pleasure. I do get on it a little around town.............though racing and driving hard I do not. I have no intentions to take it on a drag strip.
1. I really want crisper shifts on the auto stick,
2.little lag as possible,
3.tighter in the turns, without the feeling it's getting away from me( any suggestions that will help me hear as to what to buy)
4. more power and snappier response
5. that tight feel you can get like you and your beast are one

I am use to Sport sedans, BMW E46 M3, Saab Aero,Lexus IS-300 Though I have had 4-runner ,Tahoe Grand Cherokee in the past and I miss the fun to drive factor hence me now owning the STR8.

I noticed that headers and catback aren't on the list?? Are they just not worth the $4K unless you are going with a full tilt build?
