After being in Mustangs my whole life and just recently in a Wrangler, I decided to finally get what I had been looking for for a long time.

2006 Cherokee SRT8 with all the options.:D:D I am still grinning ear to ear when I hit that skinny pedal and am very impressed with the car thus far.

My questions/concerns have to do with the mods the previous owner left on the car. For starters, it has a Magnaflow cat back, aftermarket intake and a Diablo Predator tuner with what looks like 3 or 4 different tunes. After reading these forums the past few days I could not find the type of intake I have on the Jeep. I took a pic of it tonight (crappy cell pic) and was hoping you guys could tell me what kind it is. It almost looks like a homemade job.

While I was looking at the intake and filter, I noticed a hose that was "wrapped" up and hanging next to the filter. The hose/tube is coming from here. Is it supposed to be hooked up to something on the other end?

Last question....for now:) How can I tell if one of the custom tune is loaded already or if it was put back to stock? And can I run the stock tune with this intake/exhaust set up without doing any damage? Do you have to run a tune with these mods?

I appreciate all the help guys and I'm loving the site so far. Tons of information that I need to catch up on. Oh...here is a pic of the ride:

That's what I was thinking about the intake. Unfortunately I dont have the stock air box so I guess I will have to pick one up ASAP.

What do you know about that tube/hose?

oh! remember only 91 octane or better in these Beast! The AFE was a great intake before I supercharged it!

When I picked it up the dealer filled the tank....most likely with 87.:(

the hose coming from the oil filler neck suppose to run to the intake tube between the air filter & t-body...remove it when you get the Afe intake & plug the port on the Afe for it & buy a little air filter to put on the oil filler neck..it will stop hot vented air from the engine from returning back in the t-body..have fun with it.

I would just get an aftermarket cai. If you really want a stock one I have one. It was on my jeep for ~10 miles, PM me if you rinterested. As for the predator you can see what the last tune loaded was. All the canned tunes have obvious names(93 octane with cai, etc) where a custom CMR tune might have the owners name shop its from listed as the tune name. I cant really tell what hose your talking about but if its the one on the oiller filler neck I believe its just a vent. It usually attaches to the intake but some guys put a mini filter on it and call it a day.
