: Body Kit - Weird situation
str8DC 04-19-2007, 08:06 PM So tonight I went to my car in my parking garage a bizzarely enough the side moulding was missing! Really strange as it was definitely there when I parked. Anyway, does anyone know where I can get a replacement or should I just order from the stealership? Is this going to cost me the kidney I didn't sell to buy this thing? Have others had problems with the mouldings not being attached correctly (even though in this case I think other forces might have been in play)? Thanks guys!
Check w/your dealer first to get an idea of price, then check ebay, etc.

Sorry for the temporary high jack, but what did you do to black the side pieces out and window trim?

is this it......?
str8DC 04-23-2007, 10:11 AM Thanks. That would be perfect. Does anybody know how I can something like that painted the factory Steel Blue to match the rest of the car? Would I have to send it back to the factory? Thanks again to the forum for all of its help.
Interesting side note, I saw on a 300 SRT8 forum that the side facia falling off was a common problem and people had gotten theirs replaced under warranty.

scottina06 04-23-2007, 10:23 AM just take it to a body shop. No more than $100 probably to paint to match. Let me know if you want it. I was thinking about $200 shipped. They are $370 from the dealer unpainted.
squigmang 04-23-2007, 10:24 AM any good body shop should be able to color match it to your blue no problem.
if thats the case try to get it under warranty but i do not think you will be succesful.
maxxjeep 04-23-2007, 12:28 PM after reading this i went out and played with mine...it is litterally held on by like 3 plastic push through nut things and feels like it is about to pop right off
i was just barely touching and it was moving all over the place. This is not very pleasing.
str8DC 04-23-2007, 01:57 PM   Not trying to be a jerk, but how come you list the same part for $185 as your buy it now price on ebay ($150bin and $35 flat shipping)?? It's not a big deal, but why the $15 up sell for forum members????

scottina06 04-23-2007, 01:57 PM they are held in with plastic rivets. Check all them and add new were needed.

to be honest when I listed it I had it at $200 plus shipping...then it didnt sell...so i lowered it to that.....you can have it for that obviously. Just an oversight.
