Hi all, On sunday my SRT8 was Vandalised. TWICE! Someone first stabbed my Nitto 420 tires than on the following day put two holes through the metal frame of the back cargo door with what look like a knife. Cops think its cuz i have the SRT8 and its rare in these parts so someone may have done it out of jealousy. Like many of you im out almost every other day polishing and keeping my beast looking showroom style so it definitly hurt when i saw my baby banged up. Ive been tempted to just sit at my window with my 9mm to see if i can persuade this person or person's to leave my truck alone :cool:. I have no enemies and many people know me in the neighnorhood as an out going great person who for the most part keeps to myself. Just venting to all my bro's out there with an SRT8.

Hate to hear that, how much will the damage cost you? or will insurance cover it?

Im located in Mississippi and my Body shop is telling me it could all be around $1000.00 to repair. Not sure yet what the insurance is gonna cover. I could shoot someone i was soooo Pissed. Im affraid that if i get it repaired they would just do it again. There are no other area to park. I might just invest in a security camera cuz my apartment complex is useless. They told me that there camera feed for the parking lot Cameras goes to a head quarters in florida. A freakin other state. Who does that! whats logical in having another state check videos from the cameras in your parking.

On a side note , although no where near in comparison to the amount of vandalism you received , I had a coffee dumped on my hood and had someone spit all over my windshield 2 days ago.

I was parked at the grocery store. When I got out of my Jeep to go into the store I noticed a white Snailblazer SS parked 3 stalls over. We were both parked a ways away from anyone else as I did not want to get door dinged by anyone. I turned my lip up at the inferior SUV and continued on my way. I come out 15 minutes later , the Trailgayzer is gone and I come back to a coffee and spit covered Jeep.......hmm I wonder who could have done that.


Speaking of jealousy , I was at the same grocery store ( I have had bad luck there so far) . I parked in about the furthest parking stall away from the doors as I could. I just purchased my Jeep the day before so was a tad over- protective of where I parked. I parked at a "slight" angle so no one would park close to me and possibly ding my new ride. I come out 30 minutes later and had 2 tickets stuck to my windshield.One for taking up more than one parking stall($80) and the other for improper display of a motor vehicle license plate($250!!!!)I traded in my previous vehicle and used the plate form that on my Jeep(here you have 14 days to swap registration so got it thrown out). I found out later when I contested the tickets that it was a wannabe By-law officer that wrote the ticket. ON both tickets it was written for vehicle description only "SRT8" .Obviously the rentacop knew beforehand what a SRT8 was and went out of his way to be a douche. I would have loved to have seen him write the ticket so I could have told him " Thank you ever so much Mr.Pretend Cop , I can now sleep in comfort and peace knowing that you are patrolling grocery store parking lots and keeping scumbags like me from parking crooked"

Thats terrible to hear. You should invest in a security system. My first "mod" was an Avital security system. When the alarm goes off you can hear it a long way off, scares off anybody ****ing with it before they can do anymore damage. It also has a key chain that will alert you if something is going on with your Jeep, as long as you are close enough.

That blows dude. I've only had 2 cars broken into in my 18 years of driving. It makes you soooo pissed off too. Feelin' for ya bro. I know how it is. I had someone loosen all the lugnuts on my old full size Bronco on 36's. That wasn't cool when the wheel came off with my GF/Wife in the car. Could have killed us if it happend at the wrong time. All her high school guys in her class hated me and my buddies cause we were 2 years older and taking all their women. Little private school bastards had some balls!

It is a gutless, nutless wonder that messes with another man's/women's vehicle!!! I've always said that you do not mess with a man's: girlfriend, wife, child, dog, vehicle or home. If you have a problem with someone you need to take it up with them, not there vehicle. You'd be suprised what a hopped up paintball gun will do to a would be vandal. :-D Plus the pretty pink color makes it easy to identify them while they are casually walking down the street acting like nothing happened.

Hawk, I sympathize with you about the drunk. My wife, 6 year old daughter and myself were on our way back from friday night drags and got hit by a drunk making a left turn from the oncoming lane. Totaled out our Jeep. Everyone was buckled up. My wife was driving, daughter a sleep in her car seat and me in the pass. seat. Fractured my ribs from being thrown over the center console and I have permanent nerve damage in my left arm from the elbow down to my fingers. Wife had bumps and bruises and little girl was unscathed. This happened in July and we're still dealing with the Insurance. Sorry for jacking the thread, had to vent frustration.

Glad you got her all fixed and well again. Just had an incident over the weekend while grocery shopping ... parked in a relatively isolated area to avoid door dings, come back and someone's purposefully pushed a cart into her (there was no way for it to be a random incident). Luckily there was only a real small dent above the wheel well. If only I had been there and witnessed it. Jealous people suck.

Hell WADE i drive like a grandpa even at the track lol. Plus i even got a handi capp plate lol. The starter at the track 1 day said handicapp my ass i said that handicapp plate is for the guys i beat to look at lol.

How would a security system help if someone runs up to the jeep, keys it (or smashes a window or two) and runs away? So a siren would go off, you get a page on your keychain device, and then what? By the time you get to the truck, they will be miles away.

I read somewhere that in Middle East they cut people's arms off for stealing and damaging someone's property. We should have that here. The bonus of that is once they cut the mofo's arm off, everyone knows he is thief/vandal and will treat him like one for the rest of his life.

How i caught them, my bullmastiff, he is always patrolling the house, he came in the room and started jumping in circles, that means someone in the driveway!
Anyway i peaked out the window and sure enough there were three little pigs with a slim jim trying to break into my jeep, i just replaced my antenna with a shorty, it was sitting there on the kitchen table, i grabbed it, snuck out the back door, came around the house quite as a mouse, and SWAT, SWAT, SWAT, SWAT, SWAT, i whipped them little pigs into submission.
One pig got away, but the other two pigs rated on him, to boot they had a stolen charger parked out front.
They were from 20 miles away, they followed me home to see where i lived, then planned the robbery that night.
Man you should have seen the welts on them from that antenna.
They were crying like babies saying please don't let that dog bite us, please Mr., were sorry..
One of the parents tried to press charges on me for whipping their kid with the antenna, i told the police they threatened me with a knife, i had to defend myself, no charges were filled against me.
Since that day i never take that antenna out of my jeep!
