So what did you guys gather from last night, or what do you think about what was discussed?

I really wish they would do a chat session for just the Jeeps. It seems like we have more questions than all of the other models combined.

If I could have made the chat session last night, I was going to recommend that they have a summer/winter feature. For the summer, when remote starting, the AC automatically goes full blast at cold, and any other cooling features as well (seats, steering wheel...). For winter, the car heats everything at full blast.

I thought it was very intresting and informational. I think it would be nice if there was actually a chat portal with realtime Q and A cause i think alot of these get missed or passed by frequently hitting the refresh button. But it was awsome was refreshing like every two minutes and there would be like 5 more post. I love the activeness of this board. my .02

I was a little upset that there was no real talks about limited slip differentials for the rear. The question was asked by different people, several times.

Couldn't you just set it before you leave your truck so that when you remotre start it, all the dials are on full blast?

You think I can plan that far ahead??? :D
Yes, you could do that with the air systems. But on my 07 it is not possible to do on the seats.

Sounds like another DIY mod that someone needs to figure out real soon. That would be nice for the winter indeed.

Well since we can dream and be picky...along the winter lines. It would be nice if the car sensed snow or frost on the windows and turned on the defrost air and also the rear window coils.

i for one am against over-automation. i'd prefer that the $ spent on auto headlight dimmer, moisture sensor, body temperature sensing ac system, and all the other auto stuff would instead be spent on performance.

9900rpm,
I think we are in for a very long wait if we depend on the SRT Engineers (whose hands are probably tied by corporate) to resolve the performance or driveline issues. Sure don't see any hope from that side, good news there are a lot of us out there working on the issues. Bad news this is very costly:eek: personally to pioneer all of these components.

I've emailed Quaife a few times, but not once have I gotten a response from them. The open diff on our trucks really suck, and sucks more we don't have solution yet. Hopefully something comes out soon.

Is there any way to electronically lock the left and right?

I would think ARB or Eaton ELocker would have a locker in stock by now. Try researching the Jeep JK electric locker they use the big Dana 44 center chunk, depends where the ratio split is.

I wish some of those engineers hit the quote button when replying. It was hard to tell which question they were answering sometimes. All in all, glad they asked for our input.

You're right, I'm still trying to figure that one out. Maybe if we had a trunk monkey!!!

Well, I am glad all my worries were put to ease about them taking the GC SRT off the market.

I should have never doubted you Resume. ;) :)

The official confirmation by SRT that work is underway on the next generation Grand Cherokee SRT8 was significant news indeed, time to break out the tequila!!
