he got a good deal on this one cuz the new s5 is gona be supercharged and he loved the V8. Anyways he says the S5 is fater to 60 mph and 1/4 mile
i havent seen any dyno sheets or times butI found a youtube video were the s5 beats the srt8 from a dig??
anyways just curious if anyone ran one or owns one or has driven one. It a amaizng machine.. but for $920 a month:eek: i would get something else..lol

No it's slower, I just drove an S4 which has the same 3.0 supercharged engine. There A nice torquey engine but not even close to the jeep. 333hp vs 420hp...you do the math

now the RS5 that will be unveiled at geneva? That could be stupid fast... If the supercharger proves as mod-able B5 S4 was, then you are going to be looking at some very quick coupes. They will be weighed down by the quattro system, but SRT8 should drop in the 6.4 in stock jeeps to stay ahead. <cough cough>

My ex-wifes cousin has a v-8 S5, he wont race me! We went once from a stoplight and when I hammered it the beast pulled harder and scared him! Of course he cant drive but nonetheless after that one light launch he said no thank you. Even better we were in a 7/11 parking lot comparing cars and two gals where walking by, they started hooting and cat calling at the cars and said "that is the sexiest black car Ive ever seen" To which he said "yeah? the audi is bad ass right?" They laughed and replied "we were talking about the Jeep!" (both cars are black) He got his when they first came out and all I could do was snicker because he paid 65,000 and not only did he get smoked at the light but he was smoked while they where both in park as well! I love my BEAST!

If that's what edmunds says than its the same to 60 mph but traps higher than a stock jeep. So I assume with a cmr tune it should be very close from a roll...because most cmr tunes trap 104-106 with just a intake from what I've seen...

The S5 is said to have an awkward throttle action on take off! If this is the case you should be gone well before he gets away.:D. I would'nt think you'd have much trouble!
The 444 bhp RS5 would be more challenging however. Launch to 62mph/100kph is 4.6 seconds.

Jeep is less than 4.9, I bet any jeep that comes off the line will hit 60mph in 4.6-4.5 or less and caranddriver just did an article on the jeep which they got 4.3 which seems about right. Because if the audi is 4.9 then the my jeep has to be hitting 60 in 4 sec flat, because when i drove the audi it was alot slower than the jeep. The only time it even remotely felt faster was above 100mph. So to the OP with the friend who has the audi, you can take him easily from a dig! From a roll you will take him also all the way to 100mph i would think, then aerodynamics take over. Just make sure you have the jeep in its sweet spots when roll racing

Go find out and bring a video camera :)
