So tonight was my first night at the track (1/8 mi) and my only perf. mods are 180* tstat, Borla S, Mopar Intake, DCX Depot Tune, and Nitto NT05s (definitely helped with traction IMO). I probably ran between 20 and 30 times tonight, and my fastest run was 7.9604 @ 86.79 mph and a 1.8241 60ft. Overall I had 5 runs under 8 sec, mostly 7.99s and .98. So many people kept asking me what I had done and few could believe it was only intake/exhaust/tune, even a guy running an S2000 with a Z06 engine conversion (he was running low-mid 6's IIRC, and man did it sound good) asked me if I was spraying. All I can say is I am as happy as can be, and there are a couple of modded Cobras still wondering how they got beat so bad by a truck! Its a bit late so I'm gonna wait 'till tomorrow to post the slips, all I know is I'll sleep well tonight :D
Side note: Another GCSRT made it out tonight (no other SRTs) and he was running just an intake and exhaust and when I ran against him I ran an 8.0xx and he ran an 8.6xx. He was running with his pass. side light out and said that the last time he was at the track he ran 2 tenths faster with it out, I found that interesting. I told him to become a part of our community and to get himself a tune!

looks like you need to work on your reaction time. Are you going on the 3rd yellow or waiting for green?

That is still a 1/2 a second. Keep on practicing. Don't be afraid to red light to get an idea of when you can actually go. Need to get closer to .1 or less

All i have to say is well done. To run in the 7.90s with the 5 mods you have to gain improvements over stock oem parts you have is really great. Your race wt must be in the 4800 to 4900 lbs. The calculator says your 330'@5.13 your 1/8 should be 8.06 so your ahead of the game and it seems that your pulling hard to the 1/8 mile now if you dont fall off after the 1/8 mile your 1/4 should be in the 12.50. With those tires and your 7.96 ET your 60" should of a least been in the 1.75 range. How are those tires in normal driving. With there rubber compond of 200 and tread dept of 7/32 im thinking they not last long.

The NT05s are great for normal driving, its a night and day difference over the stock runcraps. You have to be a bit careful around corners in the wet but otherwise they're awesome. I have just around 10-12k miles on them and it looks like they're going to need to be replaced within 5k miles, so they don't last too long
Unless you are bracket racing then reaction time means nothing. .500 on a sportsman tree is perfect light. Means getting the jeep to break the beams perfectly at the time it goes green. Good runs I really need to get a tune of some sort.

The people I was with were saying .500 is the best you can get (at this track I'm assuming, again this was my first time at a track ever!)
