: Bwoody Endlinks... why you should go get'm...
jessiethe3rd 02-18-2010, 12:21 PM 1. Better handling...
My Jeep does not feel like it's stumbling and bumbling down the road any more. Turn in is responsive, precise, less effort, more feedback.
2. Light weight effect...
As mentioned above - you will see a noticeable difference - my Jeep feels like it weighs less as I go around corners... massive decrease in body sway
3. CHEAP...
Price vs performance I would rank this modification as top notch - for what Bwoody is charging you are getting an awesome deal!
4. The Swaybar question...
Now that I have had time to put'em on I have abandoned my Swaybar quest which I was so very interested in doing. Now would swaybars probably give me better performance at a track... possibly... but from what this mod offers at the price point the sways seem pointless - it's that noticeable of an improvement
5. Bump steer...
Goodbye jerky feel... goodbye out of control feeling over bumps and mounds in the road... goodbye land whale ride (ever drive in a 83 Lincoln... ever ride in a BMW 5 series? Yes... that's the difference folks...)
The Jeep GC SRT8 is a beast to begin with. Every modification has its benefits and downsides. The downside is more feedback over bumps and pavement changes. You get better handling and you add in more bump...
As compared to my recent Borla S addition I would say that from an overall experience perspective the Bwoody (of course we are talking steering versus an exhaust note here folks) is by far the best money spent. Outside of my recent DCX mod I would say this is probably the best bang for the buck.
DCSpecial 02-18-2010, 01:20 PM Yep, a very nice upgrade..........here's a pic from mine with the Stock end link next to the Bwoody end link:

bcm0018 02-18-2010, 01:37 PM I like them a lot! Makes it feel much better!! If you want a bigger improvement sprins help too but they sacrafice ride quality unlike the links.
jessiethe3rd 02-18-2010, 02:11 PM That's what got me pausing a bit on the springs... sure I'd look more pimp but I would be jarred a bit... my wife has to drive the jeep so I am still debating... probably the next wave... I go back and forth. Being here in Canada I feel more like a flippin' Canadian everyday. Never pulling the trigger like a quick American... more cautious to drop a dime!
Aw hell... who am I kidding - I'm still a yank! They'll come - just need time to absorb (and well, I have a lot more visual mods to do first.)
Kazador 02-27-2010, 08:57 AM I highly recommend them. I have a 07 and usually had to hold the steering wheel with both hands doing hi speed accelerations, now It feel so stable, no wobble specially on curves.
SRT8-KSA 02-27-2010, 11:48 AM THAT MADE ME FEEL SO GOOD ABOUT THEM BWOODY LINKS IM GETTING :D
Im getting it sometime this week, cant wait to feel that good handling yall talkin about ;)
Chris Hull@TTC 02-27-2010, 12:08 PM thanks for the writeup!! I was wondering if it were the springs or the links that made such a tremendous difference. Now I know the links by themselves are awesome.
Your evaluation is spot on. Imagine the whale feeling I had with the 440!! I felt like anunguided missle when I would hit it. I cant wait to see the difference at the track where that happened all the time!! Not to mention I handle like an EVO now!!!lol

Dan, you should show a pic of the back one. That is where you really see an improvement. The rear one is an oscillating piece. The Bwoody makes it a solid piece, no more slop.
kazaam 04-13-2010, 05:51 PM These bwoody endlinks are a MUST have!!!!!!!!! I'll let the pics speak for themselves not to mention the improved stability and handling, granted I slapped them on with my eibachs!!
Shadow may even help the oem ones a bit LOL, they look even skinnier in person. I'm amazed at why chrysler makes these that small to stabilize such a beast!!

Since mine is my daily driver and have my daughter and clients in it, I fear that the ride will be to rough after this mod...... I have been going back and forth....
marcjac 04-13-2010, 06:36 PM Excellent writeup; they are now on my "to do" list. Those pics above really tell the story. Easy install?

I have them in ours and I dont think its too rough, now I have only drove one other stock Jeep but couldn't really come.
If you want, you can take a ride in mine and see how rough it is before you buy them.

tmm403 04-13-2010, 07:15 PM Are they hard to install? I'm wondering.....
hardhat 04-16-2010, 04:37 PM Its eight bolts, if you can turn a wrench I dont see how it could be "hard".
PhilT3 04-26-2010, 06:34 PM Does no one else besides BWoody make these?
I am having a hard time justifying almost $300 for these things.
Guess I will just have to bite the bullett.
Thanks.

If you can find someone that is just selling the rears, you could go that route. Those are the ones that really make the difference.

Huh? No kidding. I bought mine a year ago and paid around 215 shipped I think thru Ebay and was able to pick the vcolor I wanted even tho many people will not be able to see it.
I paid $185.99 a few weeks back....
PhilT3 04-26-2010, 08:05 PM Okay... I stand corrected. I was remembering the $277 price. And then add in S&H... i was rounding up.
The issue is my father has been a steel fabricator for over 40 years... and when i was into rodding a few years back, we built many of our own suspension peices.
So, I know what it takes to make something like that and just need to realize someone is trying to put food on their table by making and selling them.
And now my dad is busy with his boat and I with my career... so neither of us have the time we used to.
So, i will just quit my *****in' and drop the $200-250. Heck I spend way more than that a week on MANY other things. maybe I can drop some hints and get the wifey to pick them up for me.
Thanks guys!

Sure thing man! Yeah look on Ebay bro!
Tcnj80 04-26-2010, 11:41 PM I can't find anything on ebay...
santov 04-27-2010, 01:37 AM I know these are bolt on/bolt off, but is a wheel allignment in order after I install these?
PhilT3 04-27-2010, 06:41 PM I would imagine you won't need an alignment as you are not changing the geometry of the suspension.
Though, I am new to this particular vehicle, so I could be wrong.
I am sure someone else here will have the answer.
Thanks.
