What do you guys use to clean the inside of the door and the sill area. I noticed that mine got very dirty since I last gave her a bath. We had a couple of snow storms, and it was impossible to wash it for a couple of weeks. This is the most dirty I have seen it in there. I worry about scratching the paint. And I can't really wash it down with a hose as a first step. Any suggestions, or what have you done that works?

i just dust it off a bit then use like a 409 or a "multiserface cleaner' heck I even use Windex sometimes :o

and then a microfiber towel to dry/wipe it all up

I just wipe mine down after every wash with a towel.

I keep that area always looking clean and shinny- I wipe it down with a damp cloth- then use Pledge Furniture Wax Spray-- with a microfiber towel- looks beautiful, clean and shinny all the time.

I use one of my old car washing mitts that I don't use on the exterior paint anymore.

After I wash the vehicle, I pull it in the shade and use a bucket of water under the area I'm cleaning and then repeat for the other doors.
then simply towel off with your choice of towel. I keep old cotton towels for the door jambs, inside the hatch and finishing off the wheels.

Been doing this for years and always seems to work for me.....Good Luck.:)

I do the same as Jeff opening all doors, hatch, as well as the hood. Takes an extra 15 minutes each wassh if you are picky, but it keeps everything looking perfect.

If you can't use water & a bucket(just the lower sill, as rinsing would be difficult elsewhere), than use one of the many "detail" spray&wipe cleaner/wax products. If it's beyond that (worried about scratching then get some rinseless wash to wipe it down first(it can sometimes be found in the camper products).

I use a warm bucket of water and a super shammy. Works great with no chemicals which can harm the wax. Plus you can wipe over the gaskets to keep them clean as well. Mine came with a plastic container and I keep it under the front seat. Also works well for keeping the brake dust off your wheels.
