Well I thought you guys might like to see some pictures, so I posted them in the photo gallery under member because I did not know how to post them here. I did get the loud option with the massive 5 inch tips. The sound is killer. I had the BB loud option and did not turn heads the way I do now. I do not know how to post videos but I will try to figure it out. The sound is extremely clean and deep. I do still have my BB exhaust almost new if anyone is interest I am asking for 700.

Sweet, can we buy these now? How much are there and where do we get them?

Is there an X pipe? And I see it is flush with the bumper.

Looks very nice, I'm diggin those braces holding the pipes and mufflers/baffles together.

I'm not too crazy about those tips though, I wish they had a thicker wall on them. Looks like a top quality product though.

OH yea it is flush with the bumper. Um let me take a picture of the x pipe although I do not think it is an x pipe. As for when it is available or how much power it made I do not know. I can tell you that I do definetly feel the difference. I picked up my truck from borla when they were closed on Friday so I was not given any of this information.

X-pipe(or the older H-pipe) cross the two pipes before the muffler to help scavenging & build tq.

The tips are bigger but the B&B tips are double walled 4" and IMHO look better, and I am in no way plugging B&B, I have my own opinions of B&B and its they aint good, Borla is a quality product like I said and im sure anyone who buys this will be more then pleased.

Well as I was driving home I turned the radio all the way down and did not hear any wierd or loud noises. No drone. I mean you can hear the exhaust its self perrrrr but thats it. I check at low speed and high speeds. As for the question about the way it sounds at 75 it still has the sweet sound. And when you floor it it still sounds vicious.

God tell me about it! I have 1chamber flowmasters on my Roush and when you hit that certain RPM you just go deaf!! Think I'll go back to my touring Borla, they didn't have that as bad..

Droan = having a more difficult time hearing others or radio in the car, Low bass like sound resonating around in the cab! Doesn’t sound like you are experiencing that much in your description..

Novice here.... 1) Does putting on these exhaust (bora) or a CAI (dub) cause check engine light or codes? 2) Is your warrenty still good if you put these on?

No codes from the DUB thats for sure. I don't have exhaust, but have yet to hear a CEL from anything other than headers. Cat back will be no issue.

I said that I knew of at least one system that has been sent home (Envied's) didnt mention any names though, and all they could tell me is it was 6-8 weeks away... they told me 6-8 weeks about 8-10 weeks ago!!!

No intake or catback exhaust should throw a cel light. And I did ask at my dealer if it voids warranty and they said no. I emailed David about this thread but I believe he is on vacation right now but I will try to get you guys some more info.

I have the inside info. 6-8 weeks is about right but we can start taking orders in less than 2 weeks which will ensure delivery within 6-8 weeks.

Eric has the prototype on his vehicle but it takes some time to get from prototype to production piece. Some of the things we need to do are buildproduction fixtures, draft engineering drawings, order raw materials, build production tooling etc..... This is the explanation for the lag in the release of this system.

Don't forget that we will offer 2 different systems for the SRT8 Cherokee. The one Eric has posted pics from in this thread is VERY aggressive and may be above the legal limit for your state so please check with us. The other system is still much louder than stock but not as aggressive. The tips are different as well.

Just guessing that based on my last 5.2 Cherokee system - it was around $1800 but that was for a full system.
Those Grand Cherokees were also more plentifull & had quite a few more aftermarket items due to it being around for a few years where as the SRT8 is a more exclusive car, this exhaust is a new developed item & the "Borla" quality name & craftsmanship. SO i'm guessing the reg system maybe at $1400 & the LOUD at $1600

The exhausts differ mostly in (as you said) "tips and overall loudness". The performance is identical as they are both free flowing exhaust systems that maximize flow and therefore performance/efficiency. The differences are decibel level and tip style, though there may be subtle tonal differences as well.

Yes, we are using intercooled tips on the less aggessive system. See attached pic. They are the same tips we use on the system for the Ford GT that we build for Ford Racing.

Regarding Massachusetts. I am not certain what the legal decibel limit is in MA, however I am certain that there is at least an attempt to regulate noise. If there is not a legal limit (it has to be a decibel level) then there are no noise restrictions, regardless of what you might be told. There has to be a standard. For instance, in CA it's 95 db's. I think MA is pushing for 89 db's but I don't know if it passed as of yet. You can also try www.sema.org for more info on regulations in your state.

On another note, regarding X-pipe; Yes, this system employs an x-pipe.

Please keep in mind that there are two different tip styles. The tips on the Ford GT I posted are for the LESS aggressive system. The AGGRESSIVE (S-Type) system has larger tips and there are pics posted earlier in this thread. Confusing I know.......

For those interested, there's a lot of work that takes place between the completion of the prototype and the final release. Unfortunately, we don't know what our cost is yet so I can't give a price right now. We are working on getting you this info as fast as we can. As a matter of fact I'm going to meet with our engineers right now to see if we can come up with at least an estimated price soon.

The costing process is a bit of a pain. Really the least fun of all....

I saw him last night at the track and the sound was very nice and those pipes are crazy big(looks like a bad ass hot wheel car).

Sorry guys I should have some sound clips up tommarrow. I have great news though at the 1/8 mile track yesterday I ran a 8.44 before I put the borla and phenolic spacer and my 195 t-state I was running 8.6x, not considering the air sucks out here.

An exhaust system from the catback shouldn't do anything to your warranty. Besides, most dealers these days will install exhausts for you and warranty them. They've come to realize they are missing out on part of the pie. At least in So Cali.
