Hey guys im new to these forums and im looking at a black 2007 with about 38 thousand miles. Its loaded and rims are in good condition with only minor curb rash. Only thing was during the test drive there seemed to be a minor ring/rattle underneath the roar of the engine.
They are asking 29,995

I got it down to 28,995 already and have a feeling I can get it to about 30 after taxes and titling etc.

Is there anything im missing/should look for? And most importantly, is this a good price? Im considering also trading in my '05 5.7l hemi to pay lower taxes on the SRT.

Any help appreciated!

Ask them for service records. At this mileage, the transmission and transfer case should have been serviced and those cost a pretty penny. If they can't produce that, ask them to throw it in.

Also, double-check the tires especially the inner tread on the fronts. Notorious for tread separation on earlier Jeep SRT8s.

Lastly, I'd ask to test drive on an expressway -- get to 70mph and see if there's any vibration in the steering wheel. This has been another complaint I've read on this forum.

That's all I can think of off the top of my (pointy) head. Good Luck!
