I ordered my Owner's and Multimedia User's Manuals last Thursday.. was in the mailbox today.

The CSR told me they intended to send the printed manuals with the 2010s... somehow they weren't ready at time of production - and they would take 3-4 weeks to print. The good news... the manuals arrived in 3-4 days. The bad news... they don't fit in the 2010 nylon case they shipped with the 2010s.

When I first read about the 2010 CD/DVD manual, I decided to keep the nice canvas case that came in my 2009... the manuals fit perfect. ;)

To the guy that's missing the nice canvas case in his 2009... sorry, it wasn't part of the trade-in deal. :D

Ya know, still amazes me sometimes that companys can not get their sh** together. Reminds me of when some of us first got our 06's.

Many came with no manual at all, or buyers received the generic Grand Cherokee one. Not the appropriate one specifying "Grand Cherokee SRT 8" which has some specific info as to the SRT8's. Mine came with the right one with a pic of our truck on the front.

As a result, many of us, (possibly all, not sure) later received a copy of the correct one in the mail. This included the correct owners manual, pouch and all the other booklets also. That must have cost a pretty penny to send them all out. Maybe it's just me, but with as much lead time as goes into coordinating the release of a vehicle, new model or not, the guy who signed off on these kind of screw ups would be looking for work.

just my opinion.

Guess I'll give it another try. I called the first week I had mine, and after playing touchtone Simon with their phone system for a few minutes, it promptly hung up on me. My 2010 did come with the canvas bag though. It said somewhere on the CD to call the number and the printed manuals were free.

No, you have a 2010 User's Guide... and yes there's more.

And sorry to be the bearer of bad news.. the 2010 SRT Owner's Manual has succumbed to a mono-tone design... black type on white paper. No nice photo on the perfect bound cover... simple and to the point.

Teda.. unfortunately most companies have the wrong people managing their Technical Publications group. I've been in this line of work for 34 years and most are poorly managed. A good guess.. Chrysler's publications group is being managed by a Program Manager that knows absolutely nothing about the process and is trying to "go green" or "media-free" - hence the CD/DVD ROM that doesn't work effectively.

I would consult Chrysler for a nominal fee... :)

My 07 came with a nice manual and pouch! But was missing the nav disk, floor mats and sporty pedals, LOL. So when I went to pick all of that up a week later, they threw in a roof rack and rails!!!

That reminds me. I never installed my pedals... I didn't get a nav disk either, but the data is in MyGig. I assumed it's loaded on the internal drive. However my Murano actually used a CD for the nav. There was an access panel at the bottom of the passenger side of the center console. So is ours a CD or preloaded? Yours was blank?

Wink, the 07's came with a different Nav that uses a DVD. I could not even set the time on the clock without the DVD. I think yours uses the Mygig and I have no idea how those work.
